@MJG017 thankyou. At the moment there's a whole range of feelings and emotions going through me.

@Former-Member I have no doubts your mind is going full speed. Try to use some of that on hope that you're where you need to be and things can only improve from here. Then you can get back here and I can post some photos of my cats... and my (sort of) pet ducks for you 🙂

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 i have to somehow not go crazy while I'm in here, that's going to be a challenge. I know I'm in the right place but it's not an ideal situation. I hate being hooked up to all these machines and I'm dreading the medication they have to pump through me cos it hurts.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member Ive had my fair share of hospitals and being hooked up to machines the past couple of years. During those times I would just try to focus on feeling better as a result of what was happening. It wasnt always easy, and I was terrified for a lot of it but just focussing on feeling better helped me a lot.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 it's just been such a full on time lately and I didn't need this on top of everything else. I'm hoping maybe this time they can find out what's going on and maybe get the extra support i need right now.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member That would be the hope... that they can determine what is going on and help you. Fingers crossed that is exactly what happens.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 i could really do without this chest pain, they have given me 3 different pain medications so far and nothing has helped.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member It can take a while for the medication to work and i think sometimes it just stops it getting as bad as it would be without the pain meds. But I know being in hospital is no fun, especially with being in pain. Hopefully they kick in soon for you and you can get some relief.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 yeah I know it can but some of it was given at 5.30 and that hasn't even had an effect unfortunately and that was strong stuff. I hate that I'm going to be put through a Ct scan and an Mri again cos they have to rule everything out.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member CT scans i didn't mind but the MRI is something i hope to never have to do again. But better they check too much than not enough.
