Has anyone got ect thearpy as an outpatient? I got a course in the wards and want to get more but not as an inpatient. Has anyone done it?

Hi @Nug and welcome to the forums. I’ve had ect as inpatient and out patient. For outpatient you don’t usually have it as often and you’ll need someone to drive you, wait for you and then drive you back home.
I have always found it helpful but it’s only a “short term fix”.

Hi @Nug
Nice to meet you.
I am currently having ECT as an outpatient after a stint in hospital having it as an inpatient.
As an inpatient I was having it 3 times a week
Now I am having "maintenance" ECT. I have it once every 4 weeks. My hubby drives me in and then picks me up after the treatment. Where I have it, you have to have someone pick you up.
