Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7. Gp wrote out my workcover forms - for last month and this month. And she recommended that I try Evening Primrose Oil re- peri menopause. So I'll get them tmw. I'm hoping if I can treat some early symptoms - it might not get worse. Fingers crossed.
Psychologist was funny. Told him about old friend. He said that's the 4th time he has let you down. What you going to do now? I said nothing. He's gone. Game over. He was happy that my values remained in place. And that I said my concern and then thanked his friend for helping. He's right.
Then talked about psych review for Workcover - with the questions re- mania.
He confirmed that I'm not BiPolar. But then laughed & said "the only bipolar or manic words you have ever uttered since we began working together, was your words back to this psych - because your speech went so fast then." Then he laughed some more. And said - you don't have bipolar. You are not manic. Bit you did respond manicaly to the psych. Lol. In the end it doesn't matter what that psych writes. I know I'm okay. But I will ph Workcover on Monday and get them to forward a copy of his report to me. Should be interesting reading.
How did you get on at the gp's today? Could she see a reduction in your anxiety? I hope so. And hopefully the new meds can help you sleep over the weekend.
Will talk to you soon.

Evening @utopia

'Not BiPolar' - is he sure? LOL Apparently he hasn't read your 'essays' LOL - only joking my friend - didn't think you were either!

Glad you have been recommended something to help with the early symptoms - hope it works. and that your forms have been done.

GP appointment was pretty quick today - what a shock!!! Picked up my daily meds from the chemist and they have waved the fee for now until I get paid again - another win! GP and chemist both discussed with me the likely side effects over the next few weeks and that it may be a really tough period - sh*t!!! We talked about my safety plan and I conveyed my fear that if I ring or text her distressed that she would call the police or want me in hospital again. She said she definitely wouldn't and she would ring me back first and if I didn't answer then she would be on my doorstep!!! I said 'you don't know where I live lol' - forgetting that patients addresses are in the records (stupid me) and she just laughed, pointed to the screen and said 'Yes I do'. It was actually really funny at the time

She is going to call over the next few days to monitor the new meds and see if we need to make any changes in the short term until I see her Tuesday.

Have to pick up my meds from the chemist daily - which also means I have to leave the house every day - bugger!! I'll take Toby for a drive with me - he goes everywhere else with me (except GP and psych).

Hope you are staying cool in thje heat

Sending you love and hugs (maybe not close hugs - too hot)

@Zoe7. Only read the first paragraph and I can't stop laughing enough to read anymore.
Thanks for the belly laugh. Tears came out of my eyes. And I think the neighbours heard mellaughing and snorting.

Re: Am Not Coping

It's good your appointment was a quick one @Zoe7. Maybe she dies see that anxiety reduced in you today. Hopefully it will reduce further now that you know she is not thinking of police or hospital - but to help yiu at home.
It's good to know possible side effects - but hopefully they won't happen or will just be mild. But sounds like the pharmacist will also monitor that daily - when you pick up your meds.
YES. Your gp has your address. Lol. Sounds like both of us had a few laughs with our helpers today. It's good to have therapists or gp's with a sense of humour. Not enough people do. Wrll not my sort of humour anyway.
Is Toby's paw still looking good today?

Re: Am Not Coping

@utopia The anxiety was definitely reduced after police and hospital were off the table!!!!

Toby isn't licking at his paw as much so it must be getting better. Still have to put the cream on for another few days., He doesn't like it - he runs around the room and does rolls back and forth on his back - but at least he doesn't try to lick it off now!

Definitely hoping there are no or little side effects. My last meds I was quite sick and dizzy for about a week and when we increased them for a few days then also.

My GP has a similar sense of humour to us - part of the reason we get on so well.

How are your fur babies? Are they struggling in the heat also?
