Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

Re: Am Not Coping

I do not allow any more strokes @utopia !!!! The dead part of your brain is a concern though - especially if it has increased.

I hope your psych ups your antidepressants and you can begin to be more motivated to do things. It is such a vicious cycle we get into - no motivation to do things, become more depressed, even less motivstion, etc. etc.- you know how it goes!

I'm starting to get into that type of cycle again with my sleep. The long period over Easter without my regular routine and GP visits (plus other stuff) has not helped.

Re: Am Not Coping

I hate all these holidays. @Zoe7. Ir's too easy to forget what day it is. And when you need to rely on a routine - it can really mess with your moods. But I think this is the last public holiday for a while, so you will go back to regular gp and chemist times.

They can't confirm it was a stroke until i get the further MRI's. But I'm on blood thinners - so that should help. Although I was on blood thinners at the time they think this occurred. But I have no recollection of anything happening. Other than when I whacked my head. And that hasn't caused this dead area. Just have to wait and see.

Any plans for tomorrow? When's your next psych appointment?

@Zoe7. Hoppocampus or Hypothalymus. Can't remember which one.

Re: Am Not Coping

If I didn't turn on the tv to see what was on I wouldn't know what day it was either at the moment @utopia lol

I haven't been 'right' since I collapsed and hit my head a few weeks ago. That week was pretty much a blur and then throw in Easter and Anzac Day (and school holidays) and I have no idea what is happening!

I still struggle each day with how I am feeling and what I am thinking but I am trying to keep that to myself. My next pscyh app isn't until May 16th but I am on the wait list if one becomes available sooner. I do think the change in med times will help reduce the tiredness during the day but it is still getting the right balance to reduce the anxiety at night and improve my sleep again.

I think the hippocampus is to do with memory and the hypothalamus is to do with hormones.

@Zoe7. lol. i looked them up after i wrote them. hippocampus i think it is.

I do hope you get a cancelation appointment earlier thn the 16th May. It may take a few more weeks before your meds get sorted out properly. That's the problem with MI. It could be the same MI and meds as someone else, but the dose may need to be different. Or even the same meds might not work.

I'm feeling pretty shattered right now. Headache and tired. So I'll see if I can sleep now.

I hope you can fall asleep while you are lying on your couch.

Sweet dreams my friend.

Hi @Zoe7 and @utopia, I'm just wandering through the octagonal room to say hi...so "hi".

I agree with Zoe, any future strokes are strictly banned! I don't suppose you thought to mention to the doctor the fact that you watched an entire season of MaFS did you, Utopia? That could be important information when looking for causal factors regarding a bit of dead brain! I super hope that wasn't in bad taste - part of me thinks it might be, but the other part thinks that it is almost obligatory for me to say it right now. I super hope they are able to figure out what's going on, Utopia.

Re: Am Not Coping

Lol @Phoenix_Rising. You gave me a laugh. So it was okay to say it. But you are WRONG!
The dead brain strip occurred last year before MaFS started. Although you might say the reason I loved that show so much was because I've lost a small section of my brain. Lol. But then what excuse does @Zoe7 have? & the others?
How are you both going today? Did you get any sleep @Zoe7? I slept til just after 2pm today. Meant to take my son to soccer training in the bigger town - but think I'll ask his coach to take him. I'm just not in the mood for being out of the house for 3 hours.

Hiya @Zoe7. Thanks for the shout out last night. I'm ok now, like this minute, but I've been a tight ball of emotions and chaos really and overly reactive. Anyway I'm hoping today is ok for you and
