Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

Re: Am Not Coping

Good morning @Pepsimax @Zoe7 @Former-Member. I hope you all have a good day this Easter Friday.
Glad to hear you are feeling better @Zoe7. Did you get some sleep? I did. Woke up at 11.
I can hear the cfa trucks siren. They drive around all the streets in town today, collecting money for the Good Friday Hospital Appeal. Which raises funds for the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. This year I made sure I have money in my purse to give them.

Hi @utopia Glad to hear you had some sleep I managed about 6 hours which is ok.

You had the CFA trucks - I had the council rubbish trucks!!!!! - who does rubbish pickup on Good Friday - not cool

I have been a bit worried about you my friend - how are you doing?

Re: Am Not Coping

Lol @Zoe7. For a second there I thought you meant the rubbish trucks came around to collect money. Lol. Yes I know. Different state. No Good Friday Appeal. But it would have been funny. I can picture people throwing theirmoney in the back of the ttruck.
I'm doing okay today. Been an emotional week. I'm sitting outside - in the shade - and about to continue reading my book. Which is all about Scottish women who were transported to Tasmania to serve their sentences. Is really well written. Think it's called The Forgotten Women. I quite like that name.

Re: Am Not Coping

hahaha - sometimes it seems that we may as well throw some money into the rubbiuch trucks for all that the council wastes on stupid stuff lol

It certainly has been a tough week for you - I have been right beside you though - I hope you have felt that

I love the name of that book. It could be the name of so many books about women - both historically and present day! It is nice to see you are learning more about my little slice of the world down here though - a very rich history when it comes to the plights of women and their struggles from convict times. I might have to look that book up myself @utopia

Re: Am Not Coping

Just grabbed the book @Zoe7. Got the name wrong by relying on my memory.
It's actually called 'Abandoned Women - Scottish Convicts Exiled Beyond The Seas'.
I have read a lot about the convict times in Tasmania. As well as about Tasmanian Aboriginal History. And about early women convicts and free settlers in Australia. Fascinating stories.
I wish I could have felt you beside me @Zoe7. But when I'm sinking down, it is hard to feel a connection with anyone. I tend to hide away - emotionally during these times.
Think it's time to go back to basics with my psychologist and learn and practice all those techniques again.
I hope you have a good day

I think I liked Forgotten Women better! @utopia

Even when you can't feel me beside you I will still be there my beautiful friend...

Sending you huge hugs and loads of love...

Enjoy the rest of your day - be kind to yourself - you deserve it...

Re: Am Not Coping

Hi @Zoe7

You probably already know it takes a few days to recover from concussion - I have had it a couple of times - it's not pleasant waiting for that to settle - I hope it's better today

I forgot the Good Friday appeal - usually the CFA comes around collecting donations but it was raining and I had my family hear and didn't hear them - we have a family history of running out to the truck - sometimes I have walked around here looking for the engine - hearing the siren but which street.

All is not lost - I could turn the TV on channel 7 and watch the appeal - I have done that before - but I love the fire engine - I so do - I love that about Good Friday

And I have change ready as well

Re: Am Not Coping

Thanks @Zoe7. I may not feel it. But logically, I know you are there for me, during those times.FForgotten women - nicer title than abandoned women. I agree.
@Owlunar. The kids in my town love volunteering for Good Friday and running along with the truck and collecting money. The younger kids don't want notes - they want coins. Lol.

Re: Am Not Coping

Hi @utopia

We have a community spirit in this area - and the Fire Engine thing on Good Friday is part of it

Yeah - the little kids like to bang the coins - but their tin weighs more - I will add a handful of coins if the Fire Engine comes around this afternoon

It never fails - I really stuff it up with I try and get a note into the can - maybe coins is easier - after all a tonne of lead and a tonne of feathers weigh the same - but the feathers are a bigger bundle
