Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

Re: Am Not Coping

Hey @Zoe7 - just wanted to stop by and say hi. It's great to see your avatar popping up a little more 🙂 I hope it's feeling a bit better for you, or at least it's on it's way to feeling better soon.

You're doing a great job finding a way to get what you need in a way that works for you at the moment @Zoe7.

Always just a shout-out away. Still roaming/lingering funshine, just dressed in pink and in a better headspace.

Hope you sleep well 🙂 (would like to send pretty hearts here but this keyboard doesn't have them!)

Hi @Zoe7

Please excuse me butting in but I felt for you when you mentioned asking for help for yourself. If you want specific people to respond who you feel will be able to help you in the best way for you, tag those people you need by your side.

During periods like this any responses you get from people who haven't been tagged it is probably best to ignore them or at the most like the post. If you're becoming overwhelmed by the number of people contributing I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for some personal space just for the time being.

My thoughts only but your primary aim should always be about looking after Zoe first and foremost. I bury my head in the sand at times. Those people here who know me well know when it's time to call me out with a gentle push and shove here and there.

Thinking of you and your sleep tonight is restful.

Re: Am Not Coping

Sorry @Zoe7. I thought you were going to bed then. So I logged off for a while.
In case you are still awake - or for you to enjoy tomorrow.
There was a long thin brick wall - on an old building. What could they paint there?
A giant rabbit in her bridal clothes - of course!!!
There were pictures of dogs chasing a rabbit. The dog leads were flying behind them. Gave a good indication of how fast they were running. That image was on the Library building. Other side of town from the Bridal Rabbit. Lol
There were images of an old man, an aboriginal youth (including his teenage moustache whiskers), women, Ninja Turtles, a giant bird, an image of the river in town.
There was pavement art also - an old timber rowboat and the ripples in the water it made.
A giant squirrel on the wall of the beer garden in one of the hotels. Horses. Other animals. Can't remember them all.
But you can look up on google - Wall to Wall Festival Benalla. I think it's safe to write that - as it's a long way from me.
If I can get my son to send me some of the photos he took - I'll put one on the forum.

@Faith-and-Hope @Adge @Zoe7. I think I'm more a Grouch type of pajama person. Lol.
Always loved Oscar the Grouch

Morning @Faith-and-Hope @utopia @Kurra @CheerBear @Adge @Mazarita and everyone else!!!!

@utopia I will look up that festival and see if there are any images of what you described - the art sounds really interesting And I am not one bit surprised you like Oscar the Grouch - just seems to fit with your personality really well lol

Maybe that is why I love Elmo so much - he is a little bit cute and a little bit cheeky but always caring - sound like anyone you know???

@Faith-and-Hope that's for the pj's - might need to purchase one of those for myself!

Good morning @Zoe7 🌞 It's quiet here this morning, I thought I was the only one up. How did you sleep?

Re: Am Not Coping

Hi @Kurra Thank you for your feedback - it is appreciated

It is also a much more complicated 'issue' than what is on the surface of those few posts to lj.

This issue arose a few nights ago and it wasn't a lack of support I received - quite the opposite infact - there were other factors at play at the time which made it very difficult for me to stay on the forum and continue to receive that support. I am not going to go into any of that again here - but how it all unfolded is evident in the posts on this thread starting last Wednesday morning (some of those posts have been removed however!!!) - you can read back or not - either way I am trying to 'come back' from it all now - but being careful with who I interact with and how I am feeling whilst on here.

Thank you for thinking of me Kurra - it does mean a lot...

Zoe
