Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

Re: Am Not Coping

You always said that this DBT module was the hardest for you @Zoe7 . Hopefully it is not too hard for you.

My days are hard. My sh and si are still high. I am having trouble staying safe. I spoke to my pdoc the other day and I am going into hospital tomorrow. I don't really want to but can't do it on my own anymore.

I know you were trying to put that off if you could @Snowie but I am pleased you have made the decision so you are safe. You have been struggling for far too long Hon and need the help. Will it mean a med change as well?

Re: Am Not Coping

Yes @Zoe7 , they will be changing some of my meds in there to hopefully help me more.

Re: Am Not Coping

I have everything crossed for you that these next ones work for you @Snowie You know that I had so many changes and finally found ones that worked. In saying that though I have been feeling a lot more flat over the past couple of weeks but I am not sure if that is the meds or 'circumstaces' - maybe both.

Re: Am Not Coping

I know it took you a long and hard time to find the right balance for you @Zoe7 . Hoping that it doesn't need changing much for your sake hun.

Re: Am Not Coping

I am not feeling as 'alive' as I was and really struggling with motivation every day. Even getting to work was getting harder for me @Snowie I feel like I could sleep all day and even when I do get a few things done I don't feel like I can do anymore. That is not a good sign for me. I know it has been a really tough couple of weeks for me and I feel really drained. I was even thinking about having a break from here and that is a pretty good sign that I am slipping back into old ways - I disconnect when I am not feeling right and that then has a further negative impact on me. So I am trying to stay connected, trying to manage until I see my pdoc this week and hopefully have work again to distract me while I push through all this. One day at a time hey!

Hi @Zoe7 💜 Thanks for thinking of me. Sorry you’re having a bad day. It’s so annoying to be so tired. I hope you feel better tomorrow. Lucky you don’t have work this week.

Hopefully resting will help you get back on top.

And “Hi” to @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member 💖💖I noticed your “good morning” on the other thread.

Hi @Snowie I notice you here too. 👋💖

After a super slow start, I managed to get to the beach for an easy picnic and a relax. First time in ages.

Trying to unwind now.

A beach picnic sounds wonderful @Former-Member and good on you for getting out and about and doing something.

Re: Am Not Coping

Hi @Zoe7 ... well ... we're home again. So relieved the day is over! Hubby is happy ... so all good.

Managed to drop him and 2 of his military mates fairly close to the seating and then left to find a car park.

Because we got there early we even managed to get seats in a nice shady area. Great because it was fairly hot today.

It was hard work getting him to and from places, he can barely walk 50 meters before needing to stop and rest. But thankfully, the public are very helpful kind and considerate when they see war veterans with a chest full of medals struggling to stand up. So between determination from hubby, the assistance of his two mates and a few members of the public offering seats for a rest along the way ... hubby got to enjoy this very significant day in his life. Its so hard though because I know how difficult it is for him. I look at him as I hold his arm to help support him ... he looks so ill, so weak, so fragile. I couldnt help it, I had tears streaming down my face. Thankfully I had dark sunglasses to hide the tears.

So thats ANZAC done .... now bring on the call from the city hospital so they can admit him, get him diagnosed and treat whatever is wrong.

Are you watching the footy between Bombers and Magpies Zoe? Despite a very slow start, the Bombers are coming back into it. I notice that its a local derby round this Saturday with both QLD teams playing each other and both NSW teams playing each other. At least I will be able to watch both as your Lions play early arvo and my Swans in the evening.

Waves to @Snowie @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @Pepsimax @Boonana @outlander @BlueBay I hope each of your respective days has been a good one.

Sherry

I am glad that you are staying connected here @Zoe7 even if it has been harder than usual. Everything crossed that the pdoc can help or at least help partly.
