Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

@Shaz51 Oh no - go away sickness!!! I was really quite sick last weekend and it hung around for most of the week. Antibiotics and lots of rest - and starting to feel much better. Sending you some virtual 'go away sickness vibes'...

@Phoenix_Rising Hope you took a huge piece of cake with you to enjoy in your corner

@Pepsimax A birthday song for you ...

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7 @Pepsimax -happy birthday. @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Phoenix_Rising & everyone I've forgotten.
I might sit somewhere between a quiet corner and the party corner. Am coming out of my depression but not quite 'up there' yet.
Your decorations look amazing! And that chocolate cake - OMG. Iwant that for my birthday.
@Zoe7 - a party organiser - with an emphasis on the kids creating a lot of the art for the party themselves. Love this idea.
One year my son has a scary/Halloween themed party. I bought cheap white masks & set up the craft box. All the kids loved creating their own masks. Not all were scary. But they were all creative.
I hope my eating the chocolate crackles - isn't disturbing @Phoenix_Rising & @Former-Member.
crunch crunch.

@Former-Member My favourite part of the day at school is 'Tory Time. I read at least two picture books each day to the kids and we choose one for the week that we read every day and the kids have their own parts that they act out as we read - it is soooooo much fun - and the kids love it. As soon as I put 'Tory Time on the board they all find their places and the smiles on their faces are priceless. Best thing about teaching - seeing the kids smile and enjoy learning

Hi @Shaz51. I keep missing you a bit lately. I'm not so good at keeping up with everyone recently. I really hope you are not coming down with anything. I'll try to think positive for you too. Have you got a relaxing day you can put lots of self care in? 💜🤗

Re: Am Not Coping

Good afternoon my beautiful little Cocky friend @utopia

So glad to hear that you are doing a little better

Can I have some chocolate crackles too please - yummy!!

I think I'll have to send you a scooter so you can ride between all corners until you find one you like lol ... maybe we need to set up a gardening corner also ... you can be in charge (not sure how much of a good idea this really is lol lol) and you can invite others in to help - can pass some things onto others to cook for Friday Feast

Do we still have a date for tonight - 7pm - who will stay and who will split???????

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7. Make sure that scooter has a seat belt. You know I'm accident prone.
Yes it's a date. I think most will bust up. Looks like Anthony the Narcissist is going to make out that 'she' did something wrong & that's why they need to split. Typucal narcissistic trait.
The perth and qld couple may split. As the longer they are together - the harder it will be to say goodbye. But then again - they may want to continue the journey as long as they can.
My favorite couple - lebanese nurse and ipswich man - I'll have to have the tissues outand ready for that one.
OMG. I'm addicted to a tv show!
Someone please pass me the red lemonade

Re: Am Not Coping

That's really cool @Zoe7. Love seeing kids enjoy books. In my tafe course the other day we were talking about advantage and privilege. One of the things was did you grow up with 50 or more books in your house. I think my kids probably grew up with 50 picture books, not sure if that is good or just shows my love of them 😝 We did have many more worded books too especially as they got older. It's great your school kids get that love of them from you 💜🤗

Re: Am Not Coping

@Former-Member. As kids - when we'd go with mum to do the fortnightly shopping - instead of lollies at the checkouts - they had Little Goldentime Books. If we'd been good - mum would buy us one. We always had books.
My son had a few of my favorites that I kept for him. And I'd forever buy him new ones. Have a great cheap second hand book store in town & our local library is the best. Would always get him books from library on what he was interested in.
Now it's a bit harder to get him to read.

Last post and I'm off to try some adulting 😳😝. It's awesome to see that little cocky floating around again @utopia. I really hope things keep getting better for you. I want to see the movie 'collateral beauty' too and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Wishing you a peaceful day 💜🤗

Re: Am Not Coping

@utopia I'll attach a seat belt and a add some extra training wheels for more stability .. lol

I can't remember the last time I wanted to grab someone out of the tv screen, shake them and so some ... not so nice things to the... don't like Anthony

The nurse and ipswich man are my favourites too - he is adorable (and so is she most of the time). I think we may need the tissues tonight - looks like it is going to be a sad night ... bloody tv show arghhh!!!!

@Former-Member I used to have the kids pick one picture book and one non-fiction each for themselves and then they had to pick another 3 class books (from the library). I'm sure the library assistant tried to hide each time we went in because she'd have to check out over a hundred books each time we went. We always had around 300 library books in the classroom and I had my own personal collection of nearly 200. There were ALWAYS enough books!!!!!

One of my most memorable moments in the classroom was when I came back from a break one day and my Principal was supervising - I walked in and nearly every kid was sitting on the floor listening to their classmates reading to them - it was so quietand so lovely to see how engaged they were with their peers... and yes it did bring a tear to my eye

I have to head out for a while - the chemist closes early today. Will be back in an hour or so...

@Phoenix_Rising when you leave just place the key under the turtle pot plant in @utopia's new garden ... and @Former-Member and @Pepsimax and everyone else ...pull the door closed behind you so the flies don't get to what's left of the chocolate cake - we'll finish that off later...
