Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Please has anyone got any tips

Please has anyone got any tips

TW - suicidal ideation

so I suffered a challenging experience at the hands of a public hospital in a medical ward which had psychiatric support. Since then the barriers to accessing community support services have been denied due to being told varying different information that is inconsistent. I am constantly confused and disappointed as I try to advocate for myself.

after what happened I was told to make a complaint to ombudsman. I only did this week due to waiting for my medical records that i requested now these are not just mental health records.

when I emailed at the start of the month they said they had till the 18th of October. ofcourse they hadn't come and I emailed them only to receive and email after 4pm with a notice of decisions that they have refused due to it being detrimental to my mental and physical health.

I am lost for words. The closure and understanding I sought has been denied and not only that but the paranoia in my head that they are hiding is only heightened by this. My GP has also asked when they said it takes 48 to give to her. Well it's beeen 15 business days.

I don't know how I sustained life in the experience let alone out and daily after from their unkindness and incorrect information to others. Everyday has been battle and now I just feel so defeated and no one to call because again no supports. I am ready to throw the towel in truly. They changed my whole life and it's been broken since.

the fact they can't give me any acknowledgment or access to closure is beyond disbelief to me.

ive sent an email to to information access to see if I can do anything but it's Friday night now and I just don't know if I'm strong anymore.

any tips appreciated.

for reference, I am non verbal and wheelchair bound in an isolated remote area unable to access physical supports except this hospital that obviously left me so I just have no solution.

Who will fight for me

Who will hear my cry, because I know I’ve been down every path and not found any relief, I usually am independent so it’s desperate when this is my plea

I’ve never lost my way so far before where my voice I couldn’t get it heard, I am scared and left in the mercy of others as I beg please anyone, who will fight for me

It’s a defeating place when your vulnerability is so high and your dignity you’ve lost

At what point do you let go and give up, when you’ve reached out to all avenues, whats the final cost

I don’t know where hope is found, where all your left with is disappointing nothing, and sorry you must understand we tried our best

But if you are left bare in the community how do you keep the faith, because I’ve fought my whole life so my inner drive for life says please try again contest

I don’t know what’s left, because I feel like you could give me an option and I’m sure it’s probably a pathway I’ve tried

My mind is racing, I’m googling every question in hopes because I’ve sent messages, reached out, yet none have replied

So I know I’m at a impasse and I can say with all heart, mind and body i truly have given everything, to all aspects my complete all

If you see me and have any fight please extend my way, because I’m really trying to remain here, continue, this is my cry for help in hopes someone sees me and I’m not lost and left to fall

I’m so sorry you’re facing this; the situation you’ve been put in sounds unbearably tough, especially with limited access to support. It's completely understandable to feel defeated when you're trying so hard and continually facing these obstacles. You’re doing something incredibly brave by advocating for yourself in such challenging circumstances.

i don't really know what i'm talking about, but

Stay on the path with the Ombudsman; It’s exhausting, but this could help you get some form of accountability and transparency. It might also be worth contacting a legal advocate or a patient rights organization in your area if you can—sometimes they have specific advice for people who need accessible support.

There are organizations, especially those focused on accessibility and patient rights, that may be able to provide support or connect you with resources. These groups often have online or phone support if physical access is limited.

If your GP seems supportive, they might be able to write a request letter to expedite the process, particularly if you’re in a situation where waiting is worsening your mental or physical health. Sometimes, this extra push from a medical professional can get things moving.

You’ve been strong for so long and through so much; even if it doesn’t feel like it, you’ve already taken steps most people would find unimaginable. The frustration and pain of seeking closure and not getting answers are valid, and you deserve justice and support.

Thank you @Absent

It sure is a challenge when you make yourself vulnerable and ask for help only to be turned away. I am learning a lot about myself at this time however, and as I have now submitted all my evidence including external services who saw some of the injustice that day who have reported I am a little hopeful that at the very least I know I did not imagine it and somebody has confirmed my experience.

I just hope for something to happen so this doesn't happen to another person again. All about justice and change for others. I'm a social worker through and through but learning to also to fight for myself. And that has been my greatest lesson.
