Staff complications

Staff complications

I'm so anxious because the treating team give me a hard time.

It's that bad none to speak too without being scorned in some way. Can't get meds to a decent amount they're way too high that they caused a fracture in my spine. Now I'm trying to walk. I need meds lowered to walk. I'm not enjoying life. I just need meds lowered. But they refuse. I'm also sick of the injection. I'm tired of this centre that puts me on a CTO to keep me. I'm compliant. The care centre where I go is there only for the staff needs wants

Hi @Amyjane

I can hear how frustrating this situation must be, and it's disappointing to hear that your treating team is making you feel like there's no one to talk to.

Have they at least given you an idea of whether they may be able to reduce your medication in the future, or explained why they're not able to now?

P.S. Welcome to the forums!

Re: Staff complications

thanks

No they've said a year...to make sure I'm stable but I've been out of hospital over 18 months.

It's great there is you all to talk too.

I've just been to my GP and had a referral to a private psychiatrist sent through. I'm on CTO even though I am compliant.

Re: Staff complications

Thinking of you as I too am under a toxic team and CTOs. If you can find a suitable private psychiatrist, maybe they can advocate for you with the consultant. Fingers crossed.

@Amyjane I am very meek with my community team but little boy shrink does have a sense of humour. I don't know what your consultant is like and whether you can pull off mock/dom. Tell him he deserves a slap for being ritualistic about a line in the sand about needing a set period of stability before finding the lowest therapeutic dose.
