Gay Pop

Some months ago JoJo Siwa brought out a song called Karma. She immediately courted controversy when she said that she had wanted to start a new genre of music called "Gay Pop". This was clearly controversial because music by LGBTQ+ artists, as well music that describes the experiences of LGBTQ+ people has existed for a long time. She did try to walk back these remarks, but I thought it would be fun to create a thread dedicated to Gay Pop. Here is her Karma video which started the controversy:

@Oaktree Thanks for the Hot To Go suggestion, I found the song on YouTube and I think it's good:

I also thought I would add the Sara Bareilles song Brave. Sara Bareilles is straight but the song is written about a friend of hers who was struggling to come out openly as gay.
