When september ends

When september ends

Wake me....

"Summer has come and passed

The innocent can never last

Wake me up when September ends

Like my fathers come to pass

Seven years has gone so fast

Wake me up when September ends"

September is nearly over....please wake me and tell me it was all a dream.

Enough peotics. September has been hell and I just wish I could rewind the last 30 days.

It started being shoved out of old accommodation, it's a new service provider. That brought a lot pain and confusion, we don't even know why my old service provider was shut down in 24hrs. There has been a whole team of new support workers, a new house, nearly new everything.

Then my dads birthday.

A 5th anniversary of a major event in my life that left me significantly disabled.

Then another flu and chest infection. And a horrible war infection.

Then today was the 1 year since my step dad passed.

Plus the little ups and downs of bpd, adhd and asd.

Life feel like it has changed too much. The days of 'summer' (the good times) has gone and things are rocky again.

I was even too sick to do anything for my step father. I lit a candle and thanked him. I don't believe in his God so I can't even say a prayer.

Idk what I feel rn. I'm sore. I'm all over the place. So wake when september ends.

hey @The-red-centaur i can see that this month has been so tough for you, i'm so sorry that you've had to deal with so much all at once. the change in accommodation and support can definitely be overwhelming, it makes total sense that you're not sure how you even feel right now - and there's no rush in figuring it out too, you can navigate these at your own pace, step by step.

lighting a candle to honour your stepdad is such a beautiful gesture, i can see it meant a lot to you.

just know that it’s okay to take things one day at a time. if you need to talk, vent, or share anything, i’m here for you. you’re not alone here. you can also reach out to Griefline and these other services:

@rav3n thank you.

I'm going to bed soon. Maybe when I wake things will be a little easier.

Re: When september ends

Hi @The-red-centaur. It definitely sounds like it had been an incredibly difficult month for you, made ever worse by those service provider changes, It really doesn't seem to show much awareness of the effect it would have on you by making all those changes all at once, so I'm sorry you had o deal with that on top of everything else.

As I look at the clock, September has just passed... here in Adelaide anyway so hopefully things will start getting better for you with the end of September. Take care of yourself and let us know how you're getting on.

Thank you @MJG017

It's october now. I awoke feeling rested. Hope that things settle down a bit. I'm sick of my flu but at least it will pass.

@The-red-centaur Yep, the flu wouldn't be helping things at all. Hopefully with a bit of rest and the flu gone you will start feeling more positive again soon.
