Really struggling with life

Really struggling with life

Hi. I have decided to make the leap and sign up even though I feel so hopeless right now that I don’t know what anyone could say to help me. At the start of this year my life as I knew it came crumbling down. My husbands mental health came to a head and he reacted in a way to my daughter that for her mental health we had to ask him to leave. I still have a somewhat relationship with him but he can’t ever be at the house when my daughter is. My health is terrible, multiple diagnoses and daily chronic pain. My daughter’s health is so bad she now requires someone with her 24/7 but it is taking forever to get a diagnosis and we have no support. I now have to sell our house so this is a huge stress. I am now at breaking point. I have to work or we have no money but I in so much pain and so depressed and anxious that I am struggling to work. I have started being short and snapping at my son and I can’t control it. All I do is cry. I have tried so many places for support and so far all we have is a package for 12 hours of cleaning all up. I am scared that I have hit breaking point.

Re: Really struggling with life

Hey @Ava_Tar, thank you for posting and sharing your experiences with the community!

It sounds really tough what you are going through with your husband and children. You are demonstrating your strength and resilience by sharing here on the Forums. And it's very brave to be vulnerable with your peers in the community.

You may have already reached out to services that might be able to support you through this challenging situation. But a good place to start if you haven't already is 1800RESPECT or contacting family services in your area. It's amazing that you have some home cleaning as that must relieve some pressure around the home.

SANE has the Guided Recovery program where you can receive some 1:1 support if you are in an eligible PHN. Take a look here if you think it might be of benefit to talk with someone Guided service (sane.org).

Please stay connected with the community here and continue to share your thoughts and feeling!

Take care

RiverSeal

Hi @Ava_Tar, welcome to the group. It's hard to imagine what its like to have to deal withvall that you're having to at the moment. I do know that feeling of being scared that a breaking point may not be too far away. I have found just talking to people, like here, has helped me a lot. Just to reming me that I'm not completely alone. I hope you find it similarly helpful here
