Should call for professional help

Should call for professional help

Hey there,

I'm nearly 6 months pregnant and I just found out my partner of 2 years has attempted to take his life twice in the last fortnight.

I'm worried 😟.

He told me this two days ago and tonight he's at a friend's. I don't know how I should react to this or how to help.

He is refusing to go at least to an outpatient program. He said seeing his psych once a month is enough.

I don't know if I should call the police. I'm legit scared

Hey @Darlingfae ,

Welcome to the forums. I hear how stressful this time is for you.

Does your gut feeling tell you there is more going on than what he is saying? Do you have reason to believe that your partner is not safe?

Has your partner been in contact with you?

If you have reason to believe he is not safe, you can contact 000 and ask that they do a welfare check.

You know your partner best.

Alternatively, do you have his friend's contact details? Can you be certain he is with this friend?

We are here for you. Hope it works out okay for everyone.
