I hear it takes a lot of effort to make yourself do some of these things.
Allow yourself to feel and allow yourself to grieve. We are here for you.
Tell me about Literacy Friday @Leeanne1 Sounds very interesting.

Hi @Leeanne1
Wishing you a beautiful birthday today, and I hope tomorrow is a lovely day celebrating with your friends.
I'm so sorry to hear that your're feeling down and struggling right now. Please be gentle with yourself, your'e still in the early stages of grieving after losing your husband, and dealing with the complex family dynamics at the funeral can be emotionally draining.
I'm really glad to hear that, despite how challenging things feel, you're still engaging in activities you love. It's often the small moments of joy that can help us through the hardest times. Grief is such a personal journey, and there's not set timelimit, but taking care of yourself by doing what brings you happiness is an important part of healing.
I hope you have a special day.
Take care Kindly Alisse

Hi @Leeanne1 I wanted to stop by and wish you a happy birthday. I know these milestones can be very bittersweet and confusing when we're grieving, but I hope that today brings you some sweet moments and that you feel supported and loved. Thinking of you today
I'd also love to hear more about your granny square projects when you're able. I'm mainly a knitter but want to learn more about crochet and specifically want to try making granny squares so I'd love to hear about yours

You have held up so well @Leeanne1 for the past two months. It shows how strong you are.
As for writing to your children, what's stopping you?
Nothing will ever stop you writing to your children whether it is writing to them in your mind, on the computer or a letter by hand.
They may or may never read it, but it is your opportunity to open up and let some of what's in you have space.

Write to them @Leeanne1
Get all of that out (what you've just typed here). Tell them what they mean to you.
It may take time, but I don't think they can ever 'forget' you.

Hi @Leeanne1
Well done. Be proud of yourself for acknowledging that you have made it through the first two months of the grieving process.
My mother had an estranged relationship with my brother for years and it was very painful for her, especially when it involved grandchildren.
She wrote letters for the purpose of processing her grief over the loss of their relationship and the role each of them played. This helped her to heal from the emotions of events that occured and gain clarity on what was important to her.
Finally, when she felt she was coming from the right place, she sent a letter that she felt covered what she had to say, without judgement or blame.
This led them to speaking again, which progressed to a reunion on neutral ground. The relationship is still in repair, but she is grateful not to be secluded from his life anymore.
I don't know if this helps you in making a decision to write to your children or not, but writing about how you feel and what you want to say, is powerfully healing in itself.
Be kind to yourself, you are still grieving.
