My heads a bit of a mess

My heads a bit of a mess

I was good this morning I got up be it a bit late, took my meds, did my washing, made my bed, started to clean the toilet, but then went to check on my dad, mum was is the room, we bickerd about the toilet being part of the bathroom or toilet room, and then was asked if I wanted to vacuum the floor or mop it, I didn't know, so then I was reminded that I'm 20 year old adult and now I'm back in bed, angry and depressed, knowing I'm not my sister and that I'm a worthless 20 year that can't make the simplest decisions that still acts like a child, I love my parents but they just don't get it, I know that everyone is better off without me.

Mums now angry with me, I don't want to hurt my parents but there probably better off without me.

Hi @Cats101

I can hear how deeply this interaction has affected you today, it sounds like it's not just a reaction to this, but something that has built up over time with your parents and their expectations of you and maybe your expectations of yourself. I want to assure you that your worth is not tied to your ability to do or make decisions about housework. It's also not tied to how well you're able to fit into the role of an adult either.

I get that when we have these sort of fights it can bring thoughts of others being better off without us, but these thoughts are just thoughts, they're not truth. Your parents aren't better off without you.

I want to check in on these thoughts and just ask if you're safe at the moment?
