just a hi

Hello, i'm new here. I'm a female living in Australia, and well, I came here because I feel like its too much to handle. I dont want to die, never. But...I also dont enjoy my life anymore. My friends are depressed and I feel like they are slowly drifting away from me. My family is always fighting or away from home. And I just wish that things would go back to normal. A time where my friends were happy and joyful. When I wasn't always sad. When i didn't need 2 therapists to whisper about me behind my back trying to figure out what they should do with me. Where i dont need pills for my "hyperactivity". When I could look in the mirror and not bat an eye to the slightly dark circles under my eyes. I want to scream "help" but dont have the courage or willpower to talk to anyone i know, without making them worried and send me to a mental hospital. I want to be happy.

Hi @frogge .. welcome to the forum. Even i face the same frogge. people change with time. friends move away when they get in to different responsibilities. but there will be a time. where everyone meet back together may be its for few hours or few minutes. Let the world change. but you should be happy and strong. you can find beautiful souls here. whenever you want , you can scream help here. no one here will send you to mental hospital. They will make your mind calm and hold with you.

Hi @frogge first welcome

I don’t have any words that would be at all helpful, but when reading your post it was almost like reading my own thoughts. It’s a sucky place to be in.

Re: just a hi

Hi @frogge, welcome to the forum. I know what it's like to slowly drift away from everyone you know. I've never talked to anyone I know about personal stuff... never! I still don't. The past year or so I have started talking to people experiencing similar issues or just feeling a similar way. This is one of the places I've found to do that. It's really helped me to just get thoughts out of my head and have someone hear (or read) them. It's made me feel not so alone anymore. I sort of see it as a safe way to "practice" talking to people about my inner thoughts and I hope that in time, I will feel more able to do it with people I know.

So I think you've take a great first step in sharing your story here. I hope you find it as helpful as I have these past few months.

So don't feel bad for not having the courage or willpower to talk to people you know. I think a lot of us are like that. It's terrifying and feels impossible to do. So reach out to people you don't know. Like here, or some of the suggested help lines, or just find a support group where you can just go and talk to people who understand and can talk about yourself without feeling like you have to explain every thought you have... they'll just get it. I can't say I enjoy a lot about my life either the past year or so, but by finding support from people I don't know it's helped me improve. At least to the point where I feel more able to keep trying to improve more. I think it's a much longer process than I'd like, but it's better than just continuing to try and cope alone and feel myself spiraling down. I hope you can find your own way to start to "climb back up".

Hi @frogge

Welcome to the forum, nice to have you here. Sorry to hear you are going through this, I went through a similar situation, and it was very exhausting. I can see you are dealing with a lot at the moment, try to slow down, and keep your mind calm, I know everything can be overwhelming, go for a walk in the park/nature, read a book, meditate, allocate a time each day to yourself, start thinking about the things that bring you joy, things that make you happy, your hobbies. Sometimes if we constantly think about our problems, we get stuck in a loop that keeps going and going. Nothing stays the same, things will change give it some time. You are welcome to post in the forum as much as you like, we are all here to support each other. I wish you nothing but happiness and remember to be always kind to yourself, take care.

Hi @frogge

Welcome to the forums 🙂

Sorry to hear that you've had such a journey. It can be really frustrating to see all the problems but not yet find solutions. You must be a very strong person, to have travelled and sought help and to have so much changing around you.

You're not alone. Going through meds and being 'fixed' is not fun, it can feel bad before it gets better, but please keep reaching out to talk, let them know how the meds make you feel. There is hope and sunshine for you again in the future.
