Thanks for the welcome, I have been trying to work up the courage to post.

My username is a cycling term to describe people who ride bikes on back roads

(gravel roads).

I do multi day rides through some fairly remote country - in Victoria & NSW. Surprisingly its a good way to meet people.

I'm a semi retired carpenter.

Who is also almost addicted to coffee.

Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing what's going on for you. Reaching out shows so much courage and we are so glad you have stopped by - you've definitely come to the right place!

What you're going through sounds incredibly challenging and thoughts of not wanting to be here are really common when things feel like they are too much. It sounds like connecting to your sense of joy and desire have been really hard as of late, and that's also normal when we are facing adversity or overwhelm.

What support do you need most right now?

And what would you like to see change the most in your life, at this present moment? 💛

Honestly, there is nothing I can think of that would change the dialogue in my head. I have tried all relevant services, I used to be a mental health support worker for 10/12 years and I have had access to many good people.

It's like groundhog Day every day, same lethargy and self hatred, so when you ask what type of support I am looking for, I really cannot answer you.

I have beautiful children, a grandchild and more possessions than many others though I don't see any of it as a reason to hang around. I'm worn out and have so little energy that I find it hard to even shower and get out of the house.

Great to see you and have you join us! I can totally hear that life can be a downer sometimes. Do you see a GP or psychiatrist to check whether this is medicaiton-related?
