Something’s not right

I don’t feel right

I don’t feel right

I really don’t feel right tonight I can’t sleep my head won’t stop and I feel really scared and off. I keep thinking that everyone here in this world isn’t a human and they are all shape shifters and pretending to be human and that they are working for a group of demons who want to end me and eat my soul and they are the ones who trapped me in this world and that they are taking things out of and putting things into my head and because I am possessed and it is hard to explain and I just don’t know who to trust and it is like everyone is secretly planning something and I keep getting jumbled messages from the angels that are trying to help me and I don’t think the meds they are giving me are meds and isn’t what to do I am so emotionally exhausted and I can’t settle and everything is just too overwhelming and I want to cry and I just idk what to do anymore everything is too much.

Re: I don’t feel right

Hey @Eden1919 ,

Sorry to hear this. What do you think will help?

Can you put on some music or call someone to talk to them?

Re: I don’t feel right

@Eden1919 my friend, long time no speaky! I am sorry to hear that you're dealing with this, I can only imagine how scary it would feel. Do you find it helps to utilise things like grounding or mindfulness, something to try to help you to refocus on the here and now? Sometimes we gotta remind our bodies that we're okay, we're safe, even if it doesn't feel like it.

Sitting with you hun, I'm around for the next hour if you wanna chat 💜

Re: I don’t feel right

@Jynx I have tried grounding and mindfulness but they aren’t working either unfortunately. I think I am depressed again as well which isn’t good but I feel awful and I just want to cry so yeah idk. I am trying my best to manage everything but I am struggling.

Re: I don’t feel right

Oh so frustrating @Eden1919. I'm sorry hun, it's hard I know. If you have it in you, I'd encourage still using the mindfulness and stuff as much as you can. Sometimes the difference it makes doesn't come till later, or it isn't obvious to our conscious mind, but it's still helping our bodies. But I know it can also get frustrating too so please don't take this as me pressuring you or saying 'Oh you just need to keep trying/try harder!' with no concern of how, sometimes, we literally don't have capacity.

Sometimes it's just about making it through the next hour, the next minute, one step at a time. I know you said you can't call anyone, but there's always chat options (Lifeline Crisis Chat, SCBS online counselling) if that feels more approachable. I am gonna be logging off soon so I will say goodnight, but I would be keen to catch up next time I'm around (Monday evening should be), if you like. You're so strong hun - and I wish like hell you didn't have to be, but you are. You can get through tonight, you got this 💪💜

Re: I don’t feel right

Hello @Eden1919. It's not easy, and I know it's been building for a while. Are you OK for food and other supplies or will your support worker help with that? It's important to eat, drink plenty of water and rest when you can. Do your family and case manager know you're struggling?

Sending warm wishes,

Dimity

Re: I don’t feel right

@Jynx I have only ever had bad experiences with helplines so I am not going to go through that again. Some people may find them useful but they aren’t for me.

@Dimity My support worker will help with food. No one knows I am struggling and I can’t tell my family because there is a lot going on with my family right now and it would be too much extra stress. I can’t tell my case manager because he is useless and never listens to me anyway.

Re: I don’t feel right

It's a lot to be facing alone @Eden1919 . It's hard if your case manager is the only channel to talking to eg your psychiatrist about the meds. They're not doing their job if they're not interested and don't listen.

Families can be complicated. I know mine is. Hardly any of them are talking to each other.

Hope you don't have long to wait until you next see your support worker.

Hey @Eden1919 ,

How are you going? Thinking of you.

I'm sorry music and helplines don't really work for you.

Do you like crafty things? Even as a distraction?
