Re: Best Friends Club

@MissGremlin awww I really appreciate that 🫂

the next project is pretty similar to the current project we're doing - it's just that for both projects we're pretty much just doing artist research, some drawings etc. but the topics on both projects that we're learning are kinda different, but they are all related to visual/fine arts generally.

Are you currently studying at the moment? If you are, what are you studying - if you dont mind sharing of course 😄

Re: Best Friends Club

@Blackcloud anytime 😊

Well as long as you enjoy it that's all that matters.

No studying for me, I did my school years that was enough 😂.

Re: Best Friends Club

@MissGremlin lol fair enough 🙂

I'm so looking forward to tomorrow's weather by the way (i dont know if i said this already) but if its gonna turn out the way i expect it to be tomorrow, then hopefully i can go outside for a walk during this cold temperature weather. I like it more when the weather is either warm or cold, but definitely not when it's hot for a reason.

Also I love learning about Chinese art history so far as I was taking notes in relation to it for my upcoming image analysis assessment, and as someone who has a Chinese ancestry in my background, it makes the subject even more interesting when you're learning stuff thats related to your ethnic background especially, at least for me 🙂

I would love to share some random facts about what I've learnt about it all haha, I get excited when it comes to it! 😄

@Blackcloud I feel like my brain has meltdowns and then it doesn’t know what it feels. I get stuck in my body. It’s weird. I sort of put it down to alexthymia. It used to be worse when I was a kid. I can become really passionate on topics of interest, I also have justice sensitivity too. It’s why the news drives me insane.

Today has been am off day, but it’s better than it was yesterday. No SI right now, but I am still cranky. I hope tonight has been kind to you xx

Re: Best Friends Club

@Blackcloud yes i love the warm/cool weather. A walk sounds lovely so I hope you get to go for one 😊.

Oohh that sounds really interesting and even better that it's part of your ethnic background.

I'd love to hear random facts about it when you have some to share 😊

Re: Best Friends Club

@creative_writer I'm glad that you've came here today. Hopefully talking to me at least can make you feel better about tonight ❤️

Yes it's going good for me this evening/tonight right now since I'm on here talking to you and other users here. A great thing for me to be doing tonight after hours of working on an assignment and need a bit of a recharge 😴

Re: Best Friends Club

@MissGremlin *getting my notebook out and flicking some pages to view all the notes I've took*

here's a couple of them

  • Taoism and Buddhism influenced the development of Chinese Art and both were responsible for its continuinity of Chinese Art over the centuries
  • painting flourished during the Tang and Song Period
  • The Japanese aesthetic has been a powerful influence on western architecture, design and fashion in the 20th century
  • Landscape (also known as 'mountain-water') Art is the highest form of art in China. this art exploits the elements of the natural world visually and spiritually
  • the Tang and Song (subsequent dynasties of the Sui) gave great emphasis to the arts in the development and reflection of spiritual values - including the Neo-Confucian ideas that are found within visual expression mostly in landscape art
  • the wall paintings of the song period was formed against the background of specific external religious factors, as the rulers of the song dynasty contributed to the development of both buddhism and taoism

Re: Best Friends Club

@Blackcloud oohhh that is so interesting, I feel smarter now knowing some of the Chinese art history 😊.

Really does open your eyes to the history of art and how it's different in each culture.

Thankyou so much for sharing ❤️

Re: Best Friends Club

@Blackcloud I feel like when my body is fighting infections, it starts to affect my mental health. I am prone to those agitated depressive episodes, the ones where you have tons of energy but are ultimately miserable. Gotta thank bipolar disorder for throwing my body off. I’m certainly doing better tonight and I hope it stays that way. I’m still having milder infection symptoms, hopefully I won’t need another course of antibiotics.

I think we all need time to recharge and if the forums do that for you, that’s awesome. I apologise if I ramble. My brain also has fits where I ADHD

Re: Best Friends Club

@creative_writer oh yeah i get that feeling, being sick does affect our mental health too so i get it ❤️ i hope you feel completely better soon with all the symptoms coming in. Sending you virtual hugs 🫂💐

Oh, please don't ever feel the need to apologise for rambling - I really appreciate the time to read users long posts since it feels like I'm fully engaged than if someone write like a really short post that has only a few words in it. I love reading long posts, even posts that have a few or so sentences in them, even if its just in two sentences - either of those I appreciate on reading!

I do know for a fact that I always lack in coming up with words to say that I specifically wanna say especially since verbally communicating with someone either face to face or via phone/video call is something I still struggle with in terms of my speech. I find that it's 50x better for me to type/write it out since that way it allows me to know and think what exactly i wanna say, than if i was to verbally say something to someone if that makes sense. Whenever I need to verbally talk to someone, I usually struggle to form coherent sentences so that way it usually comes off as them probably not knowing what im exactly trying to say or whatever 😛
