I was feeling very down yesterday @Oaktree . Very discouraged. But I'm determined not to get pulled down. I'm in a better place today, and I'm sure I'll be even better when I've been on the forums 🙂

I've come to the place that the truth will prevail.

I am glad to hear that you are in a better place today. Sometimes a bit of time is what you need. I guess it doesn’t matter who you are, we are all human and have emotions. The truth usually comes out in the end.

And that's what I'm holding on to. I feel the 'bad' people will be found out eventually. I just need to stand strong even when things are tough. @Oaktree

Ok, I've sorted 350 pieces, 250 ordinary, 50 edge and 50 'bump' pieces

Now to water the plants outside, fill up the bird bath and make the coffee

I have so many people who inadvertently tell me to be the strong Girl, be the good girl, be the resilient girl, that I can bounce back from anything and everything, I can bounce back from the stupid remarks, I don't need their help with dealing with my trauma, because that's how they seem to see it, as my trauma, my responsibility, my life.

They tell me that the police interviews will be hard, but they never ask how they can help me through them, that it feels like it's all on my shoulders.

That they can just shut my trauma out and ignore me or not respond to me, that I share things and get nothing back. I share about the dentist and then nothing, nobody asks me how it went, how did I cope. They just think, oh it's the dentist, she'll be fine, oh she'll be ok, it's just this that and the other.

Am I still wrong to want community?

I so agree, it's like we've somehow manged to create a 'social norm' of always assuming that everyone is totally fine unless they're like, in total meltdown. And then after they come out of the meltdown it's like 'Well why didn't you say something sooner before it got to this point?'
