Asking someone how they are feeling isn't a crisis. Not being sad or happy isn't a crisis as I've said it would be different if I had I'm thinking about ending me which I didn't

I don't get why people can't say I'm feeling sad today without being told I'm in crisis

hey @Sunnyside226 just saw some of your posts about the crisis stuff and wanted to just clarify some things.

you mentioned yesterday that you're 'not safe' in one of your posts - in the forums community, the term 'unsafe/not safe' means that someone is at risk of harming themselves - which is why the mods and members send out crisis links as they are concerned for your safety (our forums aren't a crisis service so if someone says they are unsafe, we want to make sure they reach out to crisis lines, 000 and work on ways to stay safe). i'm guessing you meant 'not safe' in a different way though? feel free to check through the community guidelines as well if you want some more information.

same with SI and SH, when those things are mentioned on the forums, we encourage all members to reach out to crisis links - this isn't targeted just towards you, we do this with every member.

i'm so sorry if having those crisis links felt overwhelming, that was not our intention at all - we just wanted to make sure you were safe (safe in this case meaning you weren't intending to harm yourself) because we care. you can say something like 'i'm safe and i just want to chat" to let the community know you're not in crisis. and we most definitely do want to chat with you! you can talk about the sad and angry feelings here for sure, but if you'd like a lil break that totally okay too.
