TIFU.
I talked a couple of weeks ago about how I was constantly losing things, and it’s very frustrating for me not to be able to organise myself.
It got much worse. My Mum bought me a new jacket. I liked it. I wore it to work. On the bus home from work, I took it off. I had to change buses, and left my jacket on the bus without realising.
I also left my headphones in the office, same as last time.
However, the worst thing is that I had my wife’s watch in the inside pocket. She’s overseas, and I had the idea of taking her watch with me, to remember her by. And now I’ve lost it.
I mean the first thing I did was make a report with the bus company. I described the colour, the material, distinguishing features, I described exactly where I was sitting and when and where I got off the bus. If their lost property system is worth its salt, they are going to find it. However, that’s a lot to hope for.
I’m really ashamed of myself for losing it. I don’t want to show my face. I really don’t want to tell her that I’ve lost it.
I’m hopeless, but this time it doesn’t just affect me, it affects her as well.
