I feel like i always hit a dead in

I feel like i always hit a dead in

I feel like i have one health problem, and then another follows, i feel sick a lot of the time, feeling dizzy, vomiting and cant breathe half the time. Doctors dont know whats going on and my symptoms just get worse!

I feel lost, like people dont want to be around me most of the time and i dont have close friends or people i cant tell anything to. It gets me down cause i cant work and do things i wanna do.

I need a quality of life!

@Knj being sick is horrible, worse when medical professionals don’t know what to do with you.

Is there a plan to deal with the symptoms?

Is there a specialist you can be referred too?

I had a mediastinal Hyperparathyroid adenoma. After 2 years of searching for a surgeon that could do the operation, my GP went on the GPs Facebook page. There were only two cardiothoracic surgeons in the country that could perform the surgery.

I would hope that your doctor could find someone who can help you with your condition.

Morning @Knj

It seems to be always the case, just when you seem to finally getting better, you go crook again, sods law and all that. Being crook the whole time wears you out, no wonder you feel rotten. I'm probably saying what you already now, but I would keep pestering that doctor of yours to do their job, or get a second or third opinion. You know what they say about fresh eyes looking at a situation.

Is there anything that you can currently do that will brighten up your day? I do so hope so, as we all near something to brighten up our days. Please look after yourself and pester that doctor of yours.....Asgard

Hi @Knj

It can be so tiring being sick and having one thing after another happen to you health wise. Not to mention the added frustration of medical professionals not knowing whats going on for you. It can be hard, but like @Asgard mentioned just keep at the doctors until they work out whats going on with you. I think its hard for them to understand the effects things like this have on people as they only see patients for a snapshot of time and the reality of what living with these conditions is like is somewhat lost on them.

I understand how hard it can be having people not want to be around you and not being able to work or do things you enjoy because of illness... is there anything that you can think of that you find enjoyment in that you are able to do at the moment? It sounds like the symptoms you are experiencing are very impactful on everyday life and activities, but are there activities that you can do where you are able to manage them a little easier where you would be able to have interaction with others? I'm thinking along the lines of quiet activities like reading/games/art etc where you could join a group to meet others and do that activity for a short time. This might help with that lack of connection with others?

Also you are always welcome to share what you need to here on the forums. We are all here to listen (virtually) and hopefully help along the way too.

Warm regards

Ive been going to doctors for years and it seems they just try to give me medication for everything without knowing the effects.

My health is quite debilitating and when i dont feel well, i dont feel like doing anything, i sometimes do crochet and knitting but when things need to be done around the house, it makes it difficult and i have an inspection in a week and a half.

@Knj Has your GP run blood tests?

For example I could barely move off the couch. Blood tests showed I had Ross River and Glandular fever.

Morning @Knj @Glisten

I agree with @Glisten get them to do all the blood tests, they eventually found what was wrong with me, it did take a while, but at least now I can treat it. That was a double whammy to find out @Glisten Ross River & Glandular -- just looked them up and they ain't pretty.......Asgard

Oh @Knj I feel for you, house inspections are the worst and the last thing you need when you have significant health problems that aren't being identified or treated properly, I can barely cope with them when I am well.

I don't know what to tell you aside from keep pushing and fighting for answers, you deserve a quality of life and I can tell you really want it too. Don't give up, as suggested above ask for every test, get second, third and fourth opinions if you need, this isn't all coming from nowhere.

Yeah its very hard as i start to do something and get out of breath and dont get to do much.

Doctors dont seem to listen to me and blame it on things that have already been tested for. They either say its a mystery or im an endless puzzle.

They seem to just try to give me medication which i refuse to take now because they dont even have a reason for giving it to me. ( probably a money incentive for them) ???

Thanks 🙂
