I used to struggle with my Christian beliefs when I was first diagnosed with clinical depression, and then again when I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder and severe
anxiety.
Does anyone else have these problems?

Thankyou @ENKELI @Jenn4 . I read Ephesians 4.
I get some comfort from following Soul Shepherding (Bill and Kristi Gaultiere) and am new to Richard Rohr. They seem to emphasise living with God's kingdom as an extra dimension of the everyday rather than focussing on an apocalyptic dreamstate... easier to reconcile with taking the Gospels at face value.

Has anyone seen Unsung Hero? It's the story of Rebecca St James and her brothers Joel and Luke (4 King & Country) and how their mum kept their family together, relying on her faith in God.
I've always been a fan of Rebecca St James and got to meet Joel & Luke back in 2019 when they came to Perth.

@ENKELI I'm not across the contemporary scene. In my darkness I've not been listening to religious music lately but used to enjoy a lot in different styles (classical, choral and gospel blues) and used to sometimes listen to BBC choral evensong. All very old-fashioned I know.

I was just reading through this and I am moved.
I was raised going to church every weekend. I did all my sacraments but I didn’t appreciate it or understand it. It was just something I was made to do. In my late teens we didn’t go as much and became twice a yearers. Then when my first nan passed away we found our way back.
It has been a big part of my life. I realise that I have had my faith with me at all times. I don’t go to church very often but I know that it is always there when I need it.
I haven’t questioned my faith at all during my MI. In fact it has helped me. To know that ‘He’ will always be there. I listen to songs of faith to help me through the hard times.
When I went to hospital earlier this year, we walked past a church, it was my denomination. I decided that that Sunday I would go. It gave me such peace and comfort. It helped with my stay.
I really like this thread.
