My poem about my chronic insomnia

My poem about my chronic insomnia

Insomnia is Hitler

Weariness overpowers

Tyrannical as a fascist

Leering!

Controlling my consciousness

And my corpse body

Addled by propaganda

Regaling the Master

Toothbruch moustache

Abrading my brittle mind

Subverting corroding fractious intractable implacable

Can’t catch up on

Endless sleepless nights

Nothing else matters

Disagree with a dictator

You end up dead

Morgue-like my mind

Benign and numb

Going through the motions

An automaton

Obey!

Stick to the rules!

Or else…

Kind of you to take the time to comment and making me feel less vulnerable by exposing something of myself through a poem. @Dimity 🙂

Re: My poem about my chronic insomnia

Question, where is the appropriate place to share my poems?

@Katz42 the thread that's a treasure trove to browse with lots of poetry is Writing As A Form Of Therapy

But it seems policy is changing and long threads are frowned on. @espressologic might be able to clarify.

It's harder to stay in touch when there are one-off postings of poems... we miss out if we don't catch them, unless we resort to the search bar from time to time.

( @espressologic you may take this as a comment on the change of policy)
