Thank you @Former-Member, @Kurra, @Shaz51, @Former-Member, @utopia @Former-Member for your really kind support. I guess this is still close to our hearts right now and we will all have different ways to navigate it. In my logic mind I can make sense of it all but it's still the heart that rules and I think like @utopia we just so desperately want a more hopeful outcome. Please take care all of you 💜🤗💐 sending hugs.

Thankyou @Tory for that uplifting reply. I do some cross stitching I enjoy and express myself this way - it does really help I find. I know who I am - it's just I have no one in real life to talk about the deep stuff. So I bottled it. My husband is hurting to so I can't approach him. And although I feel I am coping, I find I can't feel joy or excitement anymore. And I zone out a lot.....emotionally numb I think. Would love to feel normally again.

@Former-Member. I totally understand not having the words. You've had a long day - & I came late to this topic.
I appreciate the help you have offered us all.
I'm going to call my psychologist tomorrow morning and see if he can squeeze me in this week.
I need to talk about this and what is coming up for me.
Thanks again.

I just want to say thankyou @Former-Member for all you do. We have to learn to open up and to shut off all at the same time. We do our best and my motto in this lesson called life is "One day at a time". Thankyou.

@utopia, @Former-Member, @Former-Member and everyone, you are also welcome to talk with us at SANE. Via phone or web chat. when we open from 9am tomorrow. This doesn't have to be solely handled here in the Forums. Not for an event such as this. We're happy to help you more directly and personally.

Hi @Bandit1, thanks so much for reaching out through the forums. You've come in at the end of a discussion and I'm worried that your post will be missed. Would you mind if I created a new thread for it so that it will be visible to others and recieive more replies?

Thank you@Former-Member We just had dinner .. a bit late .. but my son needed a lot of focus & strength to get enough dishes done and to make space for me to cook .. but God I love him ..

Yes I am getting better at "course correct" I have a new term!

Perhaps the degree of injury was so significant .. it is easy to knock the scab off and expose the full extent of the wound.

I understand boundaries a lot better than when I first joined the forum.

Hi everyone .... 🌷

Thanks for tagging me @Former-Member .....

I believe that there wasn't enough warning re our friend to have been able to do more .... she decided to do things this way because she had the choice not to do things quite like this ..... as @Former-Member said, she sounded stable and together with a forward path yesterday .... this sling-back came out
of the blue and she responded with exactly the behaviour she was struggling with from her friend .... a sudden, "inexplicable" cut-off, which gives me hope that she has just stepped away from the forums, and maybe other things in her life without it being as dire as our fears would have us imagine.

Can everybody try to sit with that for now ? It's where my feelings have settled themselves, and I waited to see what the emotional nuances in her brief message would tell me .... this is what I suspect, and hope is true ....

Pleas keep sending well-wishes her way in thought .... it's good for you and the others here as well. We are a community, and things like this will create tears in our fabric .... be quick to join me in picking up a needle and helping to mend them ... lest others lose hope ..... we have to care for the whole family, which also means coddling ourselves .....

Peace be with you all .... hold the line .... we are needed here and should our friend return to us in time, let her find the forums intact and our friendships here to return to ....

Hugs n hugs n hugs n hugs ..... when I have my iPad available it will be a group hug ....

❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕🌷💜

Hi @Faith-and-Hope - I share that exact hope my friend. But most people who decide such and leave the forum have always said in some degree "I am taking a break for awhile or am leaving the forum. Not just goodbye. And when I and others posted her back saying "it's okay to leave, You don't have to talk" - just please post one word to let us know you are okay. Why didn't she? That makes no sense if she was just deciding to leave.

My daughter posted the exact same thing on FB just before her attempt. Saying goodbye without explanation can be a common red flag to either attempting or comtemplating suicide - that's why I and perhaps @utopia@Former-Member can't leave it that, as the "not knowing" is causing some distress. A welfare check would of eased that but I believe there are legal strictions to doing so here. I have had numerous welfare checks enacted on my daughter by the police when concerned. And it was not always because she threatened suicided but in other circumstances - They happily obliged and to my knowledge will do so when mental health issues are concerned.

And yes ironically she exhibited the very same behaviour of her friend which she stated caused her such pain. I just can't see her doing that knowing how much it can cause distress in others she called "sis" and family as that's cruel. So I remain concerned. Hugs xxx🌹
