Yarning space

Have a yarn

Have a yarn

I hope everyone is staying cool, it is hot one down here on Wadawurrung. We have just been to our local beach and might hit up a secret spot by the river a little bit later once it cools down.

This thread is purely just to hang out and have a yarn, talk about anything as long it stays lighthearted.

On the main forums we have a thread where we chat and “have a cuppa”, someone offers to make a cuppa for everyone and have a chat.

Personally, this how I prefer my coffee, made over a fire while camping, how do have yours?

I’m tagging anyone who has been active in this space  so this post comes up in your feed

Re: Have a yarn

Hi @defaultusername after a brief discussion with the team here at SANE, we would support you sharing the yarning space and really appreciate this. Although, at this stage while we map out further structure to the forum and co-design processes relating to this, it would be ideal to keep the promotion to limited at this stage. Therefore, if you could please hold off for just a short time on sharing to Facebook that would be much appreciated. We look forward to sharing this outcome with you and involving all members in this process.

Enjoy your weekend!

Feeling relaxed today, so going for a walk soon to ground myself, bare feet, sand and soil, connecting to mother earth. Remembering that we come from the land, at one with the land, we are the land.

Re: Have a yarn

@SouthsNo1 that sounds beautiful! what are some of your fave places to ground yourself (obviously don’t share where you are but like fave places to travel to maybe).

For me it’s our local river, we have 2 near us and there is one that is better for swimming. I sometimes take my dog and my little kids there for a swim, there is also a really nice walk along the cliff tops above the beach, I usually walk to the beach then take my shoes off and soak up the sand. When our youngest was a tiny newborn and we all needed to get out of the house and be in nature for our mental health it was our go to spot, big red cliff tops as you walk along the water… calmed everyone down @SouthsNo1
Im injured right now so I might just go to the river and sit…. might take my fishing rod

Re: Have a yarn

@SouthsNo1 we don’t go to the cliffs e dge, for obvious  reasons we follow the much safer trail then walk along the water but here is a pic off google
