That's amazing. I love the different effects on that - I have no idea how to do something that technical yet. But I hope to get there someday. I too learnt mainly from youtube. It's amazing, I come across a new stitch and I can watch the video again and again until I get it. So useful!
I also love how my kitten looooves crocheted blankies. She will seek them out throughout the house (my mum can crochet a whole blanket in about 5 minutes!) and nap on them. When she can't find one she will meow until you get one out and spread it out for her to sleep on. There's something about the texture or the smell I think. But I like to think it's all the love and effort that's gone into making them. ❤️

I love your blanket @CheerBear. My mother taught me to knit and crochet but I never got to the standard she did. She made me some lovely jumpers and I have two of her knitted blankets on my sofa which my dog loves - so one for her to lay on and one for me to snuggle up in.

I think there's something special about handmade somethings, whatever they are. Love hearing about crafting skills being taught through the generations too. I have a little person very keen and eager to get crocheting. They watch me often and ask me to teach them so I showed some very basic stitches and they are off. I'm pretty impressed and can only imagine what they'll be up to in a few years if they stick with it.
I also love that my furry friends enjoy what I make too. One rolls all over this blanket as soon as they see it!

Good morning @Former-Member 🌞 That would be lovely, to meet you both in a daydream. I had a muddled sleep last night and slept in beyond usual today. I'm also hoping it's just a little hiccup and not the start of sleep troubles.
