Hello @Former-Member and @Star86 Welcome.

@Gilgamesh Have you read Jung's Red Book? I'm fascinated by the idea of it but as yet not read it. You just reminded me of it, I need to download it. Last time I checked it wasn't on kindle but that was a while ago. Do you know what I'm referring to?

@Spookytookims No I haven't.

The only psychology books I've read are Freud (purely because I thought it odd I had opinions on someones work I'd never read) and you can tell he was high.

And Gestalt Therapy... because it was co-authored by an anarchist. Its like an earlier form of mindfulness.

But I shall look up the red book. You've peaked my interest. Jung is very much dream analysis ain't he?

@Gilgamesh Yes do have a look. Here's a little taste, I think you might see why your comment reminded me of it

"Jung wrote what the New York Times called “the Holy Grail of the Unconscious.”
Jung spent 16 years writing and illustrating his Liber Novus (Latin for New Book), which is now known as the Red Book. In it, Jung delves deeply into his own unconscious, resulting in a half journal half mythological exploration.

Jung recorded it all. First taking notes in a series of small, black journals, he then expounded upon and analyzed his fantasies, writing in a regal, prophetic tone in the big red-leather book. The book detailed an unabashedly psychedelic voyage through his own mind, a vaguely Homeric progression of encounters with strange people taking place in a curious, shifting dreamscape. Writing in German, he filled 205 oversize pages with elaborate calligraphy and with richly hued, staggeringly detailed paintings."

here's a link to the NY Times article on it : http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/20/magazine/20jung-t.html?pagewanted=1
