Re: Anyone feel like chatting? Coffee/Tea ☕💕

I'm going to hop off the forum now and begin the confusion of . . . 'What am I going to wear? What's acceptable, what's not . . . so on and so forth', then I go through the 'What do I need to take, what have I forgotten, should I leave it till later . . . etc'. Honestly, it can can me hours to actually go :), so . . . considering the library shuts between 1-2 pm, I'd better get a move on 😄 If the bridge looks like it might go under I suppose I'll just have to visit the center of my Universe a little sooner. Not that I can do anything much to help, except 'being there', crying with them if they cry, put on a brave smile to match theirs, agree with thier anger and understand their fears - so that's what I'll do.

Hi @Former-Member

Yes - those roller coaster days - I am glad the worst of them are in my past and wonder if I could ever had posted on-line about them at the time

Of course - that was before the internet was around and the idea of having a computer in the house was foreign - how the world changes!!

Who can define a normal human being? I don't know what normal human beings do with their time but I think that it could be very controlled and boring - of course they probably never think about the roller coaster and yet - in my past - 1987 - I had the best time ever at Luna Park and used all my tickets on the Big Dipper and started a new job the next day and ouch - how lucky accountants spend most of their time sitting down because did my back ever hurt

Anyway - we do have roller coaster lives and that can be our normal - so how much time in bed is too much? I guess staying after it becomes uncomfortable - as does staying anywhere - we have had our money's worth of anything

And being on line - we stay while we are enjoying it - if it become a chores - we can do something else

But your being in crisis is less and that has to be good - I am glad to hear that

And thinking about where to go next - I have thought of Adelaide but not sure - last winter on the day I went to Canberra Adelaide was having a terrible storm and I was so glad I was going somewhere - anywhere else - and yet did not know until I got to the airport if my flight would be leaving

But yes - the City of Churches does sound interesting

And autumn - ah - just thought about it - I haven't seen autumn leaves - maybe it's still summer here because it took until March to get summer weather - really hot when I was in Lakes Entrance

In Melbourne there are times when we only know when it's summer is because it gets dark earlier - and that is happening

And today is kinder too me - I haven't turned the TV on yet - so I don't know the news

All the best Teej

Re: Anyone feel like chatting? Coffee/Tea ☕💕

I just recieved an email to tell me that centrelink have suspended my payments. I am on hold with them at the moment but feel seriously sick and my anxiety is through the roof. I am so SO upset, stressed, confused, sad, frustrated etc. Our situation is messy and complicated and despite doing everything I can, I am constantly told conflicting information and bombarded with all kinds of confusing and difficult hurdles to jump through. I seem to spend hours talking with them and getting no-where. I've seen the social worker, been in to the office multiple times, sat on hold and on the phone for hours and still this happens. I've had to go over and over my story with them despite having support letters from workers, psych reports, a medical certificate etc and every time I do it it feels like a piece of my soul is being crushed. Shattered. Venting and sorry but far out, as if it isn't hard enough 😞

@CheerBear justified venting.... so sorry. Makes me want to bring out my angry smash the computer pic... but I don't have it handy 😞 Hope you hear back soon that they have come to their senses, that's a huge worry and going to push anyone's stress level through the roof. Dammit.

Was about to say good morning/afternoon... but that went out the window cos it obviously isn't. Sorry 😞

Hello everyone else..

Over on an hour on the phone. Kids bonkers I've been transferred all over the place. This is while I am trying to sort out rubbish with the housing organisation. I can't do this. I'm done @Spookytookims.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting? Coffee/Tea ☕💕

Can you get your support worker to help with this @CheerBear. Mine has just had a direct contact at Centrelink to deal with all my stuff. It's helped so much.

Thanks @Owlunar

Just a quick drop in @Spookytookims. Hope your day is ok.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting? Coffee/Tea ☕💕

I'm going to have to go in and sort it I think. The phone operator fixed the payment up that's due in a couple of days but the problem can't be sorted out unless I go in. It's too complicated for either support worker (the phams and the fv one) and even the centrelink social worker go it wrong @Former-Member. There's changes to study/work, changes re the age of fish, changes with rent stuff and the housing program we're under (which is a new one for people who become homeless because of it) doesn't fit their nice boxes, the medical exemption caused changes, a 'job plan' needing changing and it kind of all occurred at the same time so it looks to have been messed up somewhere and it's a matter of finding where. It's exhausting and heart hurty because I should never have been here like this in the first place and I'm doing everything I can to get out of it. I go along trying to keep on keeping on and pushing through it and then something comes out of the blue and kicks me down.

Thanks for sitting with me through that @Spookytookims and teej. I freaked and felt overwhelmed. I'm so sad now so I'm logging off and going for a ride with the kids before it gets worse. It'll pass, it always does but it's not fair.
