Hope it's not something I said .... @Former-Member will be flat-out with such a full-on home situation at her parents house and only able to respond in odd moments .... I'm sure she us apprecuating your sentiments, as am I ....
You've got a good heart @TAB, and I love the perspective you're offering .... especially the "turning off the worry cycle for now" .... refer to that as "parking things up" or "postponing the worry" ....

Think I've got it @TAB .... or a close enough approximation anyway ..... lol ....
@utopia @Former-Member @Zoe7 .... think @Former-Member referred to it as "Teflon coating" .... necessary to any care-work ..... allows the heat of compassion through but protects your heart-strings ..... takes a little while to learn the balance but so worth it ..... this might be in part what @Zoe7 is trying to say .... and the flow-back in relationships can be muted this way too .... for as long or short a time as you need it to.
