Needing help desperately

Needing help desperately

Hi people,

I have been a member of the forums here for some time, have posted a little over the past , but have been quiet as of recently.

Since moving to Frankston to be with my lovely partner, I've lost my previous Neami Support Worker, and have really been suffering quite bad.

I've tried to engage in Erma365 which I believe is the only local organisation who cater to me, but they've been extremely non responsive, for over a year now - nothing.

Suicidal ideation and knowing that people generally don't understand me is a very lonely place to be, but I'm asking for help here, if someone can reach out ?

Hey @Kittykelly1976,
Good on you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear things have been hard for you. What sort of help would support you, do you think? 🙂

Hi,

Thanks for replying!

I'd really like to find a bee community outreach support worker like I had before, hopefully one that's either Trans or at least Trans-friendly (yeah, I had some bad experience previously).

Hello @Kittykelly1976 I live in the S-E of Melbourne and am not far from Frankston. I am familiar with ERMHA and had a support worker visit my home prior to NDIS. Its all changed now with the new procedural uptake of new clients with NDIS rules of participation.

Are you familiar with Kindred Clubhouse? Its a modern drop in center in Hastings (I think or out that way) Its a nice place where you can go to hang out and get peer support. They used to pick people up in their private bus from Frankston and shuttle them to their Clubhouse each day.

The programmes they have there are amazing. They had a xmas luncheon at a winery recently, had a high tea some months back and go on day outings on the local ferry or attend music venues. They do art. Theres bottomless cuppacino brewing and all kinds of good stuff

I understand what its like being trans. I've known a few trans folk and have read trans literature. There can be lots of discrimination. But I think you will like Kindred Clubhouse. Please go to their facebook page and check them out. There are people there who will accept you. Its a fantastic place, fairly new and I think you would like it.

Good luck! 🙂
