Yeah thanks mate I went to bed before your reply last night but yeah live it, today I ran my first Community Garden Club @Jynx after a few false starts

Yeah pretty good I had 8 people show up, @Jynx I think the thing I gotta remember and my boss reminded me of it when I was a bit worried is some of our residents have been gardening even professionally for longer then I have been alive
so it’s about me learning from them too so sometimes its ok just to sit and listen even if your the one “running it”.
i pretty much just open up the garden and let people do their thing and show some people what needs to be done and then we have a chat and coffee/tea after

@ArraDreaming oh nice one!! Haha the best groups are the ones that run themselves ay!! It's even better if it's also a chance for you to learn as well, to my mind anyway! Aww the wholesomeness is too much, I love it! Will you be running them pretty regularly?

yeah I just gotta relax sometimes because I get nervous talking to groups is hard but just gotta keep it simple hey @Jynx and it will all work out
I’m going to be running some more facilitated things like workshops and information so that is when it might be a bit more nervy for me
I will be running the gardening group officially once a week @Jynx but I also said that im happy to open it up and let people come and go at different times

eventually the garden will be open at any time people can bring visitors in or go collect things for their dinner but we just need a bit of time to get it up and going first @Jynx

@ArraDreaming oh I feel you! Nothing like sweaty palms and shaky voice to get in the way of what ought to be a simple task! Funnily enough, I used to do drama in high school, and lemme tell you - I'd much rather get up on stage and do a dramatic monologue than get up and do a speech!! Maybe because it wasn't 'me' on the stage it was my character... Soooo maybe you can pretend to be a character doing a dramatic reading? 😋
I imagine that it'll be a bit along the track you'd be doing the more facilitated workshops and stuff, so plenty of time to get used to the public speaking bizz!!
Aww so stoked for you to have this passion project, the wholesomeness is just sublime 😊

Way to go with the gardening group! @ArraDreaming Good on you 🙂 Sounds like a great start. Today was beautiful to get the people out and about in the garden 🙂
