Re: Does anyone want to talk

I t was definitely an experience I dont know if I would put that much time and effort into one night again i think ideally we would have a better set up and stay longer but kids had fun, but didnt get much sleep
someone set off fireworks at midnight right near the campground, one our kids was up with a cough in the night and then what sounded like a street sweeper came through at weirdly like 3am and it just yeah…
coukd have been better but we gave it a go learn for next time @tyme

Agree. With camping, I’d NEVER only do one night. It’s just not worth the effort. Last time we went 1 week, and I reckon we’d needed longer @ArraDreaming . Putting the tent up, getting organised is so much work.

Any time is better than no time with family. I’m glad the kids enjoyed it.

Re: Does anyone want to talk

we had originally planned to stay for longer but looked like a storm was on the forecast,
the tent did hold up and pack down pretty easily after all that, I guess one night Is kind of easy though cause we didn’t take have to take much food or anything we just had snacks from home, takeaway for dinner and fruit for breakfast so I guess thats one benefit to a short trip was that we didn’t have to pack as much as we would for longer @tyme
anyway I have just been putting some things back in the garage and trying to work out what to do next

Re: Does anyone want to talk

I’ve got two huge cupboards in the garage floor to ceiling full of camping stuff @ArraDreaming .

When we pack it up, we try to do it all so it’s ready for the next trip

Re: Does anyone want to talk

@ArraDreaming ,

We have a camping trip booked for either April or Sept schools holidays.

I’m in Syd now and I’m having a family trip somewhere on 22nd Jan. Not sure where though. So it’ll be my parents and my 2 sisters with their families all going.
