Thought it was a good idea to have my own thread -- it is great idea my friend xx
take it slowly , one step at a time , it will take time
spend a little bit of time doing it and have a break ,
when you feel it coming on , stop and come back later xx

I hear you @Former-Member, that you struggle with the same uphill journey every day, no energy, motivation - all sucked away by severe anxiety again.
And you're frightened you can't hide it from your daughter over the school holidays, home all day every day. I so get that. You say you don't want her to see me like this, but honestly, I think she already knows. Kids are great observers. I would suggest you be 'real' with her (without leaning), go walk off some of the anxiety (maybe together go walks like F&H with D1), ask her to help you organise a weekend away here and there. I would love to take my girl to a butterfly farm if I had another chance.
You feel like this Bridget because you have an illness. It takes what money can't buy, great courage & perseverance.
I use to keep telling my daughter, we'll go away, or do this and that, then let her down. I know now it was the debilitating anxiety, limited funds and only every second weekend with her. I have a horrible memory of her once saying back at me "its never gonna happen" She was right. Try hard to make this a priority before she leaves home. Start simple, something she wants maybe.
Yes you are a bit negative tonight, blackdog off his chain, but you're also being 'real' and true to yourself and that's integrity. @Faith-and-Hope taught me that.
Of cause it feels like youre going backwards sometimes, its part if growing, like a tapestry or embroidery.
Its exhausting & frustrating especially when ya 'doing all the right things'
There's no doubt in my mind you'll feel this way on and off, in different ways for the rest of your life, but it will become more manageable and you will have linger breaks between. You're becoming resilient and skilled.
I often feel like I'm not really living anyway, but I ask you this - by whose standards? Find something that WILL work for you, no matter how simple.
Hi Bridget, you do distract and be positive mostly, and come across stronger than you are I think, like me. Its hard to know what to ask for, when asking for help, or even just reaching out. There is strength in vulnerability.
Not sure if I'm helpful, but I do care. Be gentle with yourself Bridget, hugs xox "

Thanks for your kind thoughts @Former-Member - I will be okay - I feel much better than I did earlier today
I have had that message about spam when I have been posting elsewhere - sometimes it can happen if we hit the send button twice accidently - I haven't had it happen here though
I understand about feeling too fragile at times to post - and for you to open a thread is good. (I always feel rather parental about a thread when I first open one) Tthis is a good subject for a thread a really good one for first thing in the morning
For me right now - I have a couple of anniversaries about my son - but atm I have niggles going on about TS - she is so needy in some way she has to run the whole family and it tears dd up to have this conflict I think - but when there is tension a person who choses to sit on a fence is likely to get splinters in their rear end. I will get over myself -
But thanks
Dec

Hey @Former-Member,
Sorry you're having such a tough time today - we're here for you! It's a nice idea to make you're own thread. It can be what you want it to be, maybe a soft place to land, and not another place you need to be "strong". Hope you're feeling a bit better soon.
All the best,
supernova.

Hi @Former-Member .... 💜🌷
Havent read right back through the thread yet, but good for you ... think @Former-Member is right in that your own thread can be a place where you don't have to be strong for others .... it's a place where you can vent and receive support as a "home" thread for you.
Higs ....

Hi @Former-Member One of my first messages on this thread was to thank you and others for your kind messages the other day. I actually wasn't feeling up to making an appearance on the forums last night and as I mentioned in one of the messages, I was looking around on the forums last night and accidentally pressed the post button on one of the threads. Knowing that everyone would know I had been on here, I thought I'd do the right thing and say thankyou to you all for your messages. So I started this thread to do so. I was just going to say thankyou and go off, but people were kind enough to message me straight away and I quickly answered them.
I was going to reply to you properly at another time, when I was feeling a little bit better. It was late last night and I was very tired. I was hoping to reply properly to you today.
I could see that you had spent alot of time writing your message to me the other day (I think it was Friday night) and I was very grateful for that. Please know that I appreciated your message and I was going to write a nice reply.
No bad feelings on my part. Onwards and upwards, so the saying goes. ![]()
Thankyou @Former-Member for your kind message, much appreciated. ![]()
Thankyou very much for your kind messages @Appleblossom @Shaz51 @Decadian @Faith-and-Hope and @darrenhayes. I appreciate them very much. xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Thankyou @Former-Member for your message last night. xoxoxo
Thankyou for being there too @TAB
Meow! How did it go with the lease?
Well, I went out after all, as my girl had been waiting for ages. Haven't been home long, so it was a long day. Big drive to walk around a tourist place up north, sat at the beach for a while, saw the prize home and then had a really lovely dinner on the way home. Time to rest now. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
