I hear you @ENKELI
Chatting on forums, it's not the same as having real life friends. I feel isolated & lonely too. So, you are not alone there. It's f**king difficult. It's probably not fair. And it sux.
I'm not sure what my point is.
I loved @RiverSeal response to you.
I guess it's heart warming to know that even though we feel alone in real life - it's a reminder that there ARE good people out there. People who could be doing anything else, yet they choose to spend their time replying. I think it's the world whispering 'you are special', & "you are cared about.'
Maybe we don't have lives that represent that rn. And unfortunately, Christmas amplifies this 1000. Great for families, & friends - not so good for the 'leftovers'. Christmas, is really not all those things the commercials tell us anyway.
Christmas is a time of hope.
I think if you want to meet people, you need to partake in group activities. I don't do that yet - except for church. I might like to join group next year. I'm not sure what it would be.
The internet is great, tho it has made isolation 'more easy' to fall into.
I get, that you want a break. It's not fulfilling what you really want. Real life connection. I think it's actually a clever move. It shows you are ready. For more.
May you have a Christmas of peace, reflection, & hope, that your future will be so much brighter than where you sit today.
Thankyou for your courage.
