I completely lose trak of everything wen the skool term ends.
My son’s schedule keeps me able 2 b in the present & i get unstable wen it goes away.

Wondering how to make it thru these entire holidays (the hols with all the additional social expectations)?!?

It scares me 🙁

Loss of routine always throws me for a loop too @Unlonely1! Hmm do you feel like you could maybe try to retain as much of your school day routine as possible? Or maybe create a new holiday routine that you could write down and pull out every time the holidays roll around?

Re: Skool Hols with DID 😬

I hear you @Unlonely1 !!!! Loud and clear!

I get totally outta whack when it comes to school holidays. By the end, the kids and us have all had enough of each other.

School holidays used to be my trigger times. I spent so much of these times in hospital because there was such little routine.

I had to work hard to get to the point where I can say this will be the 4th Christmas/New Year I'm not in hospital!

So what I do now? I plan things for myself so there's some what a schedule in my routine. The kids are home tomorrow, but I've planned three things that I need to do. The first is at 9:30am, the second is at 1pm, and the 3rd is 6pm.

Then, in Jan, I've planned to take the kids interstate to see their cousins.

I'll still have things planned in between to do. That say, I stay well.

I hope this sort of makes sense. Things you can plan include making doc appointments, going to a special event, meeting people on certain days/times.

What do you think?
