my three cats all have chronic illnesses and I am overwhelmed by needing to give them meds every day.
Sandy was the only one who wasn't on meds, but now she needs to be (should have been for a while) and she is so stressed by being given meds, she runs away from me all the time.
I can't do this. I can't cope with this. I don't know what to do .

Aww @greenspace that is so tough! I can only imagine how heartbreaking it is for them to be unwell. I can also very much hear your frustrations. It is always so distressing to do things we know we need to for our pets, but seeing it result in discomfort for them. Maybe you could have a chat to your vet about it and see if they have any tips?
I can really see how much care and effort you are putting into making their lives comfortable and giving them love and affection. Your kitties are lucky to have you.

Hi @greenspace that sucks that your kitties are all sick. I had one of mine at vet yesterday, looks like he might have chronic illness too. But hopefully just a special diet will be enough…. And not an expensive operation! But I seen a thing called a ‘pet piller’ while sitting in the waiting room. Not sure if it’s tablets you gotta give them, but it’s a gadget to give pills.

It's not nice is it. I always say how unfair it is that our pets have such short lives when they give us so much joy. I'm sure they love that you are caring and helping them live their senior years happily.

I hear you @greenspace it's distressing and stressful for both us and our furbabies and we try so hard to do what's best for them. I've been through it with several cats and still have regrets i didn't do enough for them.. My current boyo is being quite difficult and demanding - he's elderly and has bad arthritis in his one hip (he's a tripod) and I'm trying to keep up expensive meds and decipher his demands but he's become a very fussy eater and yells for attention. I love him dearly but it's hard, he's not coping with the litter box and has lost interest in games and grooming. I'm very sorry all three of your moggies are struggling.
