@TAB it's okay I have close family and aquaintances so am not lonely but don't have a close friend .... I think it is due to son2 god bless him. He just sent our lives into chaos for years and none of our family have recoved fully yet. It will take time but is possible.

I understand lonely vs alone but yeah I struggle to say I have no friends ok have people I pester all day with texts lol one woman met a few times over the years never were an item but shared bed a few times years ago, guy from high school, and sometimes another f acquaintance who emails only not even texts who share some form of interest in each others affairs lol ok met them twice years ago lol @Bunniekins so 1 guy not seen in 5 plus years prob and rarely see, and 2 flings w no lives who still chat lol thats my irl friends haha

ok your turn for advice @Bunniekins i pulled a sickie for tonight, then when they replied they offered me a weeks work next week at place I hate with people I hate lol plus have a job interview on monday

ok could remind them about interview and say do rest of week but really just the thought of that place(worksite) gives me the creeps and makes me feel like a failure

@TAB you know TABs my sister has friends who she goes out with to pubs and gets drunk at age 51. Honestly when she talks about them I think christ who needs friends like that .... I suppose I really like quality of quantity. Hahaha! probably why I have none but that is okay it is what I have chosen. Like I said there is still hope.

I don't get along well with women and guys just think that you are after one thing ... which is so wrong guys are generally more fun than women. IMHO. When I was younger I had many gay friends they were super fun.

@TAB If it gives you the creeps and you have a interview on Monday for another job definately do not say you will work. Life is short if the people and job are that awful I would give it a big miss.

@TAB Don't get me wrong I love my sister. She is desperately in want of a relationship but when you are over 50 it is really hard to find someone. I hope she is happy ..... I just don't know that she really is.

well, people get stuck @Bunniekins , keep repeating things that used to work or they thought worked yes was still having luck on date site around 50 not last few years tho lol so dont bother anymore

Just a gentle reminder around some of the gender and sexuality stereotypes, it's important to remember that despite sometimes our own personal experience there are an immense proportion of differing personality types in the world regardless of gender. Sometimes men are fun, sometimes women are fun (sometimes both genders are not), this applies too to sexuality. Someone's sexuality or gender does not necessarily directly relate to their personality traits. I think it's great that you're both reflecting on personal experience, but just a reminder not to over-generalise based on stereotype.
