Re: Tabaluga's

i found myself in a sort of regional ol 30,000 maybe place, and after swapping employers cos not enough work, I then burned myself out then burnt bridges with the oppostion, now no one wants to know seems, re place I originally left cos not enough work time to keep moving maybe yeh I thought I;;ll just go straight back there, well not. apparently anyway I need to do something else, somewhere else. @Alacarte

Sorry to hear that. It can be rough in a small town. My home town has 12000. Ended up leaving. Give yourself time to make a decision

Re: Tabaluga's

Try your local community centre for food coupons or parcels @TAB .... other on the forums have been strapped at times..... and we were in the early years of our business ...... give back when things are different and you have spare change .... keep it going around .....

Re: Tabaluga's

And if you’ve got tooth trouble @TAB, babies teething gels can bring some relief .... there’s also an oil from the chemist drawn from cloves ..... but speak to the pharmacist for advice about it first .....

Re: Tabaluga's

Carried over from Friday Feast ....

We all get to be in a state sometimes @TAB .... part of why we are here ..... and we are also good listeners for each other, most of the time ..... and you have been listening to me for a couple of years now, yeah ?

But I get that you’re in a different headspace today. S’okay. Keep feeling out a path forward tabby-cat.

Some people alternate jobs, like working a checkout for a few months, then switching to office work, barista work, waiting tables, then FIFO ..... then back on a checkout .... the times are that there are no rules.

Many artsy folk have to hold down 3 - 4 jobs at once to make the $ they need, making a jigsaw puzzle out of it, cos their work doesn’t sell consistently. They might be doing yard cleans, or working in an art shop or something along with making their art ..... and when it sells, it sells.

Can you offer yard clean-up or handy-man services on local community notice boards for an hourly rate to help tide you over while you work out what to do next @TAB ?

Maybe check out going back to study if there is a career change direction you could take ?

Re: Tabaluga's

There are lots of Vocational Ed courses different from what we had available years ago @TAB. Look ‘em up maybe ?
