I think you can ease up on yourself. You no spring chicken but still can have a good semi retirement. If decent jobs not around, better plan is to self care ... and gym and stuff rather than busting gut for few pennies...
I am sensing that family home being sold is unsettling ...

Sorry @apfel ok @Appleblossom good thoughts re yr reply and yes can see inheritance disappearing before my eyes to the advantage of people who are worth 50 times as much at least. Anyway thanks for your reply. My wanting to smoke is getting worse not better. I am forcing myself to exercise. And yes was unsettling @Appleblossom plus also found last house before that on site. More . Unsettling. That one had a connection to as in lived there not just the no inheritance thing re this one
