I travelled for a year when I was 20. @TAB Those experiences are still with me.
My daughters may have not realised they were being bribed, but my son did, maybe because he saw what happened after, they had all their trips. He has had one month away. My middle girl became totally addicted and has had a dozen.
I just look around and try and plan for what is positive and possible. I offered to pay for him too, but he does not want a hand out. His gf wanted him to go overseas with her, but he is looking for a life here.... cant blame him ...

Well get off butt and stop putting others first maybe AB apfel @Appleblossom well in some way. You might be pleasantly surprised well or better than ‘pleasant ‘ I had a good day at work today , managed to get some sort of connection out of 4 days workmate.. not that I really care tbh but knew people in common etc. anyway it stopped the job. We just told tales til he went and told supvr we were going ok 2hrs early haha. Sis replied to couple txts surprisingly tonight, crossed over to Deutsch, thought she was calling number 2 sons partner a rabbit as some sort of term of affection eg Maus, Schätzen etc .. no .. my nephew went to mums pizza nite ok Friday with a freekin .. rabbit .. Im a bit worried. Ok they’re all rich plus he has maths/computer science degree and was dating phd candidate ... now a rabbit oh ok well technically I’m his godfather and he had a difficult early childhood but ... seriously........ poor bugger

Thx again. @TAB I am not trying to win medals for self denial.
But its not an option for me for what my brother ended up doing.
My son and I have both talked about it a tiny bit. Its all too painful etc, but you get my drift. 18 months ago CAT team said to me son just needed to feel concrete, I tried to put some expectations on him, but within a few months things escalated madly and badly out of control.
I try to get my needs met. Tomorrow I am going to a fundraiser soiree ... where I know a couple people.
On Monday my half chinese nephew ... math degree plus is coming to lunch.
His dad, that bro, died when he was 6 weeks old ...but his Tiger mum very pushy and controlling ...I anyway out of the blue I rec fb request to visit ...
SO ... we have some things in common re family .... ha ...

Meant I googled my name and now since Internet has expanded there are lots of other people who have same surname, some with both christian and surname and all seem to be academics in quantum physics or some such lol phds etc lol @Appleblossom
