it's bed time for me as I've been unable to get any sleep for a couple of days.

I've been trying to navigate my way around the public health system with my niece. It's really a mess with extremely long wait times

They put patients in a bed after hours of waiting, close the curtains and leave you without any explanation.

Leave the person in crisis who may tend toward possible harm alone and truly suffering from major

MI concerns to ruminate and drown in the depths of despair

Out of sight out of mind

So thay they are at great risk of

leaving OR worse....

It's so hard @Taali I can see how much you're holding right now. It can feel very frustrating and helpless to not be able to do more or stay by her side. She's lucky to have someone as caring as you in her life <3

Still bit tired. Body seems to have had miraculous recovery after struggling to get out of chair and do 10 steps to bar last nite lol

@Taali the system is so broken and everyone on here i think has been through it in one way or another its a sad and desperate situation. Ive been having abreactions thinking of the friend who dragged me from psychiatric ruin. I thought id gotten over it but i dont think i ever will. Her name is forever etched in my mind

I, for one, am very grateful to her

For I have the benefit of having you in my world

I just hated the feeling of absolute powerlessness

Soooo frustrating and really difficult to negotiate without p*** ing them off because you are at their mercy

Sort of felt a bit like working out how to play the game right while jumping through all sorts of hoops and being careful not to say the "wrong thing" that may have sent us down the wrong road.
