Hi

  • I have recently been diagnosed with having Psychosis. I’d appreciate anyone else who has this diagnosis to talk about your experience with me.

Hi @Jarrah

Welcome to the forums, glad you found us here. Here is a factsheet on Psychosis (sane.org) I hope you find it useful. I've experienced psychosis, along with paranoia and racing thoughts. It seems so real and tangible. I've needed therapy and medication to manage mine. Have you a good support network around you?

A useful forum tip is press the @ function and a list of names will appear, select the name/s you want to highlight and they will be notified.

Re: Jarlee

Jarlee Hi there, my wife is going through psychosis. I might not be able to help but I can give some suggestions for how we've made progress on recovery.

Hi 👋

Thankyou so much for the feedback.
It’s the strangest experience and Traumatic. Seems so real. I’m on meds now and about to start some talk therapy too. I have support thankfully. I struggle with stress levels and have found where I used to push through that it doesn’t work for me anymore. I have to take a step back now. It’s hard because my capacity to work lots has diminished to just 3 days a week. I find this to be a challenge as I’d like to earn more. How do you cope with work and your mental health?
