overwhelmed and confused

overwhelmed and confused

i feel very overwhelmed and a little confused i thought if i could get all my uni work done then i would be able to relax but that hasnt been the case i still have 1000 things i need to do and not enough energy to do any of them there is just too much going on and i am struggling and there is nothing i can do about it i am totally stuck. not to mention i keep getting scared again that my thoughts are being interfered with and like i can feel it happening but idk how to stop it because the people doing it have no intension of letting me go. anyway i am stressed and tired all the time and i just need to find a way to manage but idk if i can. i am safe and all just overwhelmed but yeah anyway i wish i was more capable.

Hello @Eden1919 did you have trouble sleeping? In my experience it makes things worse. Well done if you got your uni work done, that's quite an achievement.

At the moment I'm putting off things that need to be done too. I'm sorry you have the additional pressure of intrusive thoughts but I'm glad you're safe. Does chatting to people help interrupt the intrusive thoughts? I can understand it all feeling overwhelming.

Take care - and allow yourself some time to celebrate your achievements. You deserve it.

Re: overwhelmed and confused

Hey @Eden1919

I know the feeling; I get that way when my anxiety is taking a front seat. It's easy to feel like everything is too much when everything seems equally important.

Don't be too hard on yourself, you're doing the best you can. Maybe there are some things that you can postpone for a less busy time. Schedule in some time for yourself (a nap perhaps!), you need to look after yourself as you don't want to burn out.

Re: overwhelmed and confused

@MissMuffet thanks i am trying to take breaks and just give myself some time but i am running out of time to get things done and idk i am just struggling a lot.

@Dimity thanks but they aren't intrusive thoughts it is someone interfering with my thoughts like someone is taking my thoughts out and putting other thoughts that arent mine into my head it is very uncomfortable.

i have been struggling a bit today i am trying to keep it together but i feel really off and not right and i am trying my best i am but idk why things keep happening and i didnt sleep all night last night and now i am exhausted even more than before but i doubt i will sleep well because of the side effects of my meds constantly waking me up every half hour honestly idk what to do anymore i have tried to get them to listen to me about my sleeping but the drs dont care.
