Lego anyone?

Lego anyone?

Lego has changed so much over the years and the possibilities are endless as to what you can create…. With the help of a box or bricks and some instructions… or maybe you’re just super creative!

I love building Lego, it’s therapeutic and relaxing. And there is always a wow at the end as I finally complete a set.

who else enjoys it? What have you built?

I hope this space inspires others to give it a go!

I recently finished the 3rd brick bear, was moving it to take some photos and had a mishap which sees me having to pull apart and rebuild fair portion of the 16inch bear. Worst part is the head which broke into pieces when it landed on the floor. (One of those forks @Jynx )

doing some research last couple days and have found issues with the head staying in place is a common problem due to the bears being head heavy. Going to have to use some glue with these designs.

Will post photos when I get it all fixed. Not in headspace to work on it currently.

Re: Lego anyone?

@Former-Member oh no that's super frustrating. They can be so fragile especially when there's weight in the heads. Hopefully you can finish it soon and I can't wait to see it when you do.

Take care of yourself ❤️.

Oh.. that’s a shame @Former-Member. I hope it’ll work out for you. Hopefully that fork doesn’t stay too long.

Wow @Former-Member ! Can't wait to see it!

Reminds me of the Titanic I just finished yesterday. Took me three days! It was so fiddly. I realise I didn't do the bow correctly. I was going to leave it at first, but then it was so obvious that there was a hole in the ship so I finally pulled it apart and re built it!

That looks so cool @tyme. Did your nephew help?

Re: Lego anyone?

He started a little and just getting me the pieces and doing the windows. The windows were so small! @Captain24 Only his little fingers could get them in!

I really enjoyed it because it was more challenging than the other lego I've done in the past. I want to move beyond just the regular lego because it's not challenging enough.

Re: Lego anyone?

At least it was something together @tyme. Part of it anyway. Lego to me is easy just time consuming with some of them but that’s the way I like it, no thought just go with the flow. The 3D wooden puzzles are hard and require a lot of concentration so I like those as well, I guess that’s my challenge.

Re: Lego anyone?

What else is a step up from Lego @Captain24 ? Was resin easy? I still haven't finished my lion and bird diamond art... it's been years.

Re: Lego anyone?

Resin you have to get the measurements exact and at the right temperature. @tyme. But it’s not hard just creative. I saw a couple of videos on Facebook today that have given me some ideas that I’d like to try. I’ll give them a go in the coaster moulds first as they are reusable and get practice before I tackle the placemats, wooden box top and chopping board.
