Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

or the garden, or wherever.

Just wanted to make this thread so I can write whatever I want and talk to people without taking over everyone else’s threads or like derailing conversations for everyone else.
just gonna post what I would normally post elsewhere but all in the one place I guess

whoever wants to respond can and is welcome (I hate just talking to myself)

We call the game

Would recommend for 5 and up

You can add a timer in if you feel you want the added pressure (of course the kid always opts for the timer when IM THE BUILDER and is painfully slow to communicate to me how to build said item)

Also between you and I, fun to play as adults after the kids have gone down, with a few special beverages, just saying lol

Re: Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

kid is still learning that saying and pointing “put that on that” is not at all helpful, the idea is that they need to use descriptive words and give directions not just point or try to take over

Re: Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

also the kids/players have to be ok with pulling apart what has been made if you are playing multiple rounds as we are not literally a Lego factory and do not have endless peices

My 7 year old will walk off at the game and my 5 year old will embrace it @ArraDreaming ..

Sounds so fun! Did you make it up?

It reminds me of a drawing game we used to have to do at school. One person gives the directions and the other person listens and draws it. The final pictures were hilarious! Imagine trying to give instructions to draw a snowman or an elephant! the 'trunk' ends up in odd places lol.

Yeah we made it up @tyme half inspired by the Lego masters tv show

we definitely had a few rounds of “you are doing it all wrong dad” and storming off but I think we are getting better
@tyme.

Someone messaged my partner this morning asking if I was ok after what happened yesterday as they noticed I looked flat for the rest of the time we were there after, at least people are looking out for me, that was nice to check in

Wow! That's so nice that people acknowledged your hurt... you see? People DO care.

As for overseas, you mean the war? @ArraDreaming
