Hate from others

Hate from others

Hi

How to continue to enjoy the things you love , when you have seen others show irrational negativity or irrational hate?

It’s honestly disgusting how they hate against non harmful things other people enjoy or even things part of other people’s identity.

Have you seen disgusting negativity or disgusting hate against the things you enjoy or part of your identity?

How to forget or live like those disgusting negativity never existed?

I just hope to forget.

Somehow it seems easy for certain people, however not for me?

I have cptsd, I saw a few research, apparently we have a problem with forgetting those.

Are you able to just forget? Or how are you dealing with those?

Hi @Lisa925

Welcome to the forums, we are glad you're here. Sounds like you are being attacked by negativity and hate. Don't let them get to you, keep your chin up and express yourself safely. You matter and you are important and you are allowed to enjoy life. If things are bad you can contact us here for support tel:1800187263. We also have a fact sheet on PTSD... Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) (sane.org) that may have some useful information for you.

Hi @Lisa925 . Welcome to the forums!🙂

It's hard, isn't it? Being an outlier by nature. And IMHO, it completely destroys your ability to be yourself in any public setting, because your true nature offends people. So you end up just constantly lying in front of others, but then they don't like you because they eventually realize your lying and they have some sort of prejudice against liars.

So effectively you were screwed from square one, although it might have taken some time before that became clear.

If you have aspirations of making the world a better place - making the world a place where people are happy - this hopeless dynamic can be debilitating. How can you do anything to make people happier when they seem so goddamned determined to be miserable?

So, to answer your question, forgetting the animosity is more or less a moot point for me, because I'm still trapped right in the middle of it; it's not just a "bad memory", it's my currant reality.

I like to think that, if ever I were to end up in a good environment, forgetting the ugliness of the past would be relatively easy, since I would just bury myself into the goodness of the "here and now" and not give much thought to the past. But that's a theory I doubt I'll ever get to test.

Hey @Lisa925 Welcome

Yep, on Wednesday I got worn out by the 2 court ladies trying to wrap me into a hate session our local peppercorn tree. It was not hurting anyone, and they have gone on about it almost a dozen times. They go on about the roots, and I say yes, I know the roots go down deep, but thats not enough its gotta get hypey, so that I am "in it" with them. It i so boring. Next time, I will probably be curt about not joining their hate fest and cant they think of anything else to say.

Sometimes it is supposed to be best to walk away, but what if you have walked away enough. If its not dealt with, then it can follow you around.

idk?

Good post tho.
