Hello

Hello

Hi to all I’m new here. I had a bad week last week. Im from UK moved here. In UK diagnosed with BP2 and BPD. I was given medication. Anyway due to my behaviour my wife cheated and left me. Since then I’ve felt pretty up and down. I work but I’m holding on by a thread as I have weeks where I black out and sleep all day. I’m normally a lurker on forums but I’m trying to change that. Ive got lots of issues and I can range in feeling self hatred to being angry and having outbursts. I’ve got no friends or family. So anyway hello.

Re: Hello

@tyme I am sorry you feel you don’t have friends. I am complete crappy but have a good listening ear if you need it. I know it’s hard. But I am here.

Re: Hello

i totally hear you @Queenb72 !!!!

Christmas and new year was ALWAYS my trigger. If you look at all my past records, pretty much 6 outta 8 Christmas' were spent inpatient. I simply couldn't cope because I had no work to keep me occupied and no friends to hang out with.

Like you, I don't have friends, but I work with people ALL DAY. SO I guess what's different im my situation is that I'm not actually actively looking for friends or people to be around. If anything, I want to go home and be by myself, chill with a cuppa, and put my feet up.

It's as though I'm on social-overddrive ALL DAY so that I just need to retreat at night.

I love these forums though. They keep me in touch with society, but at a distance. I can also sure things that i can't share in the workplace.

And who said the English need to be tight lipped! Go for it - it's about whatever floats your boat!

And another thing??? I used to hate not being 'regular', but I love it now! I love the fact that everyone is BORING, and I'm different 🙂 What's it like putting it that way? Life's too short to be 'regular' lol

Re: Hello

@tyme you are so right. I get you but it’s hard to get to a stage you are where you are and feel strong. I appreciate that and applause you if you are there.

I’ve spent so many years that I am to be being with family/friends at special occasions. Now being alone in another country with my thoughts it is scary.

It’s sad but I suppose I want someone to love me.

Thanks @NatureLover @for your response. Currently don’t have professional support as I found it frankly to be poor. I stopped taking meds and started using alcohol instead I know not good idea.

@Queenb72 I'm sorry to hear you've found professional support to be poor. I would like to encourage you to persevere...it took me 18 years to find a good psychiatrist who did talk therapy, but it was worth it. When she retired I found an excellent psychologist. Those two have meant that over the last 15 years of regular therapy I've got a lot of healing.

anyway can I ask why all the responses have been from supports? Bit weird to me. But hey I’m paranoid

It may mean that the regular members are struggling and/or in crisis, and unable to support anyone at the moment. Or it may mean that they don't know what to say. Or it may just mean they are busy and not online at the moment for a few days.

Re: Hello

Hey @Queenb72 ,

As humans, we are social creatures. It is understandable that you want someone to love you.

I think that is vital as part of being human. As much as I want my own space, I still feel that love from my nieces and nephews who I see EVERYDAY. We are very close and therefore I feel that attachment and love.

Without them, I reckon I'd be longing for it too.

I'm here if you want a chat 🙂

Thank you @tyme

i understand where you are coming from, but my truth is I am 11,000 miles from home with no possible financial way to get there. I don’t have family or friends here.

I do not have anything
